Why Do So Many Chinese Expect War?

However, I believe Napoleon once said something along the line: the better the strategist is, the more bullets flying, the less people dieing. Also an arm race only ends with one side totally collapsing, with or without war. And on the verge of being collapsed, there is a high chance that they...

8 killed in Yunnan land dispute ( 6 burned alive )

Hongkongers' protest might not be the biggest clash between the citizen and the govt, but it is the most noticable to the world. Before China picks fight with outsiders, it should settle the dispute inside first. For example, I believe that the Xinjang terrorists become much more active when...

Sorry, I use the company computer so no headphone for me. My boss is watching me over the camera.

The newly built runway will become China's unsinkable aircraft carrier

That will only happen in case of a pre-emtive attack from China, and as we all know, big nations always need reason to attack (i.e US used WMD as reason to attack Iraq, Russia used supporting independence movement to interfere in Ukraine, hell even Nazi Germany posed as being striked first...

Still no evidence of historical Chinese claims

I could care less about commies or capitalies. I share the same opinion as my teacher (though at first I found it unacceptable). If the opperessors can treat the opperessed well, I am fine being an opperessed. Ideology, teaching, theory are all tools of opperessors to maintain their power.

Still no evidence of historical Chinese claims

I say with the external threat (i.e China) already hanging above our head, we should focus more on how to deal with it first, rather than focusing on internal issues. More than ever we should unite, rather than get seperated by our belief, our ideology. If things get chaostic, hostile nations...

Still no evidence of historical Chinese claims

I once made the same point as @BoQ77 to another Viet mem (@gambit). VN needs to change, now. But that change cannot be too sudden, cannot be something like a coup to throw down VCP. Democracy, communism, socialism, those are just pretty words invented by some people to let them control the rest...

Still no evidence of historical Chinese claims

France surrendered Japan, and Japan kept France around as lap dogs to manage Indochina for them. Also VN was the one who took the opportunity when Japan got defeated and France was out of the game to declare independence. Go study some history, dude. VN liberated itself, with little help from...

Is China building on disputed Spratly Islands reefs? BBC News

Many other Viet mems have made arguements regarding international law, so I won't do that again. Also I believe there is a law that forbid the contruction and transformation of reefs to become normal islands. Chinese speciality. :agree: Respect thy enemy, and you shall be respected.

Vietnam Allows State Media to Report on Hong Kong Democracy Protests

RFA is labeled anti-govt by officials. Can't 100% believe what they said. If my memory does not fail me, RFA was the one reporting a coup in VN during the flood in Hanoi in 2008, showing pictures of BTRs around the street of HN (which actually passing through carrying troops to help fix the flood).

Is China building on disputed Spratly Islands reefs? BBC News

Or better yet, part of India (Pak was, until after WW2). That should have trolled him. Deal with it. When we said illegal, it was according to the international laws. When you said illegal, it was your own "Jungle laws".

Discrepancy between GDP and GNI of Asian countries

I hate to admit but you are right about that. The 1990s-2000s VN had made some impressive improvements, yet in just around 5 years (from 2008 onward), somehow our leaders set them all to the start. The problem lies with the leaders, and maybe the economy system itself.

How Vietnamese still suffer thanks to America. Documentary

Parts of the reason. I don't agree with other blaming only China or only Soviet or only US, and I don't intend to blame them all. All 3 countries were still not the whole reason VN war broke out.

    Vietnam buckles under Chinese pressure

Granpa can still make riffles and bullets, or burry a few mines on the road, or secretly spy on enemies. There were many cases VNese elders contributed to the war effort in the past, and there certainly will be more in the future. Nah, like China we call them terrorists, anti-govt factions (bọn...

In your dream. VNese always complain about the govt. However, they are not angry enough to throw down the govt yet. Also as long as the govt keeps the army in check, who will do the revolution?

How Vietnamese still suffer thanks to America. Documentary

There is one thing you don't understand, it was not about win or lose, it was not about communism or capitalism. "There is nothing greater than INDEPENDENCE and FREEDOM". I am totally fine with NVN losing the war and being unified with the South, and the SVN would shake off US collars (which...
