    Pakistan's Service Rifle (G-3, Type-56) Replacement Competition 2016.

It'd be Zastava or CZ I reckon (the one who offered help on an indigenous design).

Turkey's STM won Pakistan Agosta 90B modernization tender

Regarding the MILGEM/Ada-class, Pakistan requested a $400m loan from Turkey to help finance a deal for 4 ships. http://www.milliyet.com.tr/milli-savunma-bakani-isik-pakistan-da-kocaeli-yerelhaber-1406967/

Turkey's STM won Pakistan Agosta 90B modernization tender

I am very excited for the MILDEN submarine program.

Turkey's STM won Pakistan Agosta 90B modernization tender

Haven't focused much on STM in particular, but I did discuss the MILGEM and how Pakistan could adopt it for its needs. Should the PN select the MILGEM and (especially) MILGEM-G, it would only be natural that we work closely with STM in order to outfit the platform for our requirements...

Pakistan to buy numerous AK-103 assault rifles to Russia

Yep - CZ's iterative cycle has been impressive, but us selecting that route would depend on a level of creativity and risk-taking that we (as a society) lack, sadly. Sure, one can always argue "go for the best gun," but why not also keep an eye on the best available company, i.e. the company...

Turkey's STM won Pakistan Agosta 90B modernization tender

Learning requires exposure, and let's be honest here, the Pakistani defence industry hasn't gotten a whole lot of it, especially in the shipbuilding and land vehicles areas. Whether it be by contracting an external vendor to help guide a local one (e.g. in this case where STM will help KSEW)...

Pakistan to buy numerous AK-103 assault rifles to Russia

The BREN sent to Pakistan is 7.62x39mm, but its value rests with the fact that it can be chambered for 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO as well. Not to back the product too strongly, but credit ought to be given to CZ for actively iterating on the design based on real world feedback (or at least being...

Pakistan to buy numerous AK-103 assault rifles to Russia

To be fair ... neither TASS or Army Recognition offered any scope into the purchase. It literally could be about as big as any of the M4 or M16 purchases we've seen for the SSG. That said, Army Recognition is reasonably reliable, and TASS is strong (ahead of Sputnik News and Kommersant). We're...

Turkey's STM won Pakistan Agosta 90B modernization tender

STM was contracted to help implement the upgrades, the work will still be done in Pakistan. Moreover, we still need to import the subsystems we'll be swapping into the Agosta 90Bs anyways. We don't produce CMS, ESM, new generation sonars, etc. I'm not sure if Havalsan and Aselsan will...

    Pakistan's Service Rifle (G-3, Type-56) Replacement Competition 2016.

After seeing photos of the SCAR on this thread so many times, I hope the Zastava M77 wins the 7.62x51 NATO need. Forget even the BREN, it just looks too similar to SCAR.

    JF-17 (2P29) arrives in Pakistan

@Bilal Khan 777 Not to speculate too much, but supplier options aside, there is one thing we can take solace in - comparative vs. relative costs. While the BAE Systems Striker II could be very expensive compared to other options (relative), the comparative cost of it would still be low enough...

Behold, the first indigenous Thermal Sights are here...

"SHIBLI looks to cement its place as a market leader in the field of Optronics and a global technology and innovation driver in defence, security and advanced technologies." http://shibli.com/who-we-are/ I hope they have HMD/S on the technology roadmap.

Turkey's STM won Pakistan Agosta 90B modernization tender

Most likely electronics and sensors, though STM could potentially help with structural refreshment, but I don't know to what extent.

    JF-17 (2P29) arrives in Pakistan

@Bilal Khan 777 I was thinking about the JF-17's HMD/S options for a while. A contemporary digital system just does not seem to be available at the moment. Thales and the TopOwl-F aren't even options, not without India somehow managing to torpedo the Rafale as well as a couple of other programs...

Tulpar-S APC Makes International Debut at EUROSATORY 2016

It could have been from a predecessor entity in Turkey (license producing the M113) that was absorbed into FNSS.

Tulpar-S APC Makes International Debut at EUROSATORY 2016

I don't think even Turkey is planning to use this design to replace all of its old APCs. It seems FNSS' ACV series - derived from the M113 - will form the backbone of their APC force. We just need to stick with the Talha.
