I think China needs to be a lot more selective on who gets a loan, rather than giving a blank check to countries with no intention to pay.
Collaterals would be nice.
I'm still not fully sold on battery EVs, and lean towards plug-in hybrids more.
Some issues I see:
- Long distance driving vs battery charging time
- Limited supply of lithium
- Electricity generation source (i.e. building more coal plants)
- Battery disposal/recycling
Anywhere from 6 to 8 from various predictions
Personally I think there should be 6 operational carrier groups + 1 training group for a total of 7.
I also think China should have a shit ton of SSN, at least 60.
I think not. Ma Weiming was basically praised every year for the past decade, but seem to have gone silent in the last 2. Also, it's been a year since they launch the ship and the tent is still in place over EMALS. That kind of delay is a bit unusual for a Chinese ship.
Notice how the catapults are still covered and Ma Weiming hasn't been mentioned/nominated to receive top science prize this year in China?
I think they might have ran into some issue with the EMALS.
Planes from Taiwan conducted bombing runs on Shanghai as late as the 1960's and flew over Xiamen as far as the 1980's. They only stopped because the balance of air power started tilting towards mainland in the 1990's. I'm happy to use whatever means to unify the country from an American puppet...
China's challenge is to land the troops needed for a ground mop-up operation, assuming 2 things.
1. Air and naval supremacy is achieved (US direct involvement will complicate things).
2. Taiwan is militarily broken by strikes.
If China cannot land enough troops during the first wave, the small...
China needs to get C919 and C929 certified by the Europeans. I don't think Boeing is necessary anymore. Airbus can act as the sole foreign supplier while COMAC can fill the rest.
Don't count on your potential adversaries to surrender. Putin thought he was going to walk through Ukraine.
Anything capable of putting up resistance should be bombed to smithereens before attempting actual amphibious assault.
You want to revive the Kashmir cause? Pakistan needs to have a thriving economy and society, instead of running to IMF for handout every couple of years. People rebel because they want better lives and more favorable treatment from the government, so whatever going on in Pakistan isn't setting a...
So this CIA stooge is finally getting exposed for what he is?
India, now is your chance to really please the Dalai Lingus. That tongue ain't gonna suck itself.
It's a legitimate better way of working. Imagine pony express riders making fun of train conductors for having no horsemanship.
Instead of fighting change, incorporate it.
If they improve the maneovurability of the missile, assuming it exists, J-20 can fly forward to provide targeting solution while J-16/H-6 or H-20 act as missile carriers.
