Rafale or F-18 will be Interim, TEDBF is Future, Mig-29k to be Retired : Navy

Aren't most of these Mig-29K less than 10 years old and some only 5 years old? When are they looking to replace them by?

Imran Riaz Khan arrested from Islamabad toll plaza

I see the courts are being useless as ever. Bunch of blowhards and coward judges incapable of enforcing anything when it comes to the army.

Imran Riaz Khan arrested from Islamabad toll plaza

Cowards can’t handle journos. IRK should and will be released, seems like they want to give him a software update before that happens. Self appointed fauji batmans on the forum would justify this in the case of the above, they know who they are, I remember them from those threads. I’m glad...

Opinion: Imran Khan has infected kids. Elders needs to control their kids

Good point. IK should feel confident right now IMO. The one and only poll I've seen looked good for PTI, and then galvanisation has a big role to play in election turnout, PML + PPP supporters probably aren't anywhere near as amped as the PTI crowd.

Opinion: Imran Khan has infected kids. Elders needs to control their kids

Yesterday's anti-war revolutionaries and free spirits are today's right-wing boomers. It's a perennial question you raise about generational political trends.

Show cause notice issued to the drivers of protocol cars who disrespected the judges of Islamabad High Court by overtaking judges cars

Judges need to get back down to earth. Look at your historic record, you have very very little to be proud of, do you job and stfu. As for protocol culture, nobody should stand for it, the only reason this exists is because people let it exist.

Journalist Ayaz Mir got attacked by unknown men

Only pathetic cowardly pos order attacks on journos, commentators and civilians, just because of criticism. I used to say it and some on the forum would justify it if they didn’t like the journo.

Who's More important? Pakistan or COAS :Imran Khan

Nah I don’t agree in this instance. If the army wanted IK out, he’d have been booted months before it happened. They had his allies in the palm of their hands the whole time, their support for IK was the whole reason those allies joined and stayed part of the government. This whole US and army...

Petition against Youtube channel "Apostate Prophet"

Ignore it, it’s best. I would not have even heard of this unless you opened this thread. Let these channels fade into obscurity, every time Muslims react like this they inadvertently popularise these nobodies.

Who's More important? Pakistan or COAS :Imran Khan

Sure, that’s his narrative. And it’s bs. But I suppose none of this is verifiable at this point in history.

Who's More important? Pakistan or COAS :Imran Khan

IK doesn’t mind army interference or political engineering as long as it benefits him. Same with every other politician.

Taking the Neutral Bull by the Horn, first time they are up against a force to reckon with, Imran R. Khan

There was a time where neutrals gave out free software updates for insolence. With Dr. Frankenstein is getting his due comeuppance, it's hard to have sympathy. Schadenfreude is likely a sin, but it's hard not to love the smell of napalm in the morning in this context. @VCheng

Imran Khan can’t win election if institutions remain neutral: Bilawal Bhutto

I can only agree that everyone earns their comeuppance, but beyond all of the above bold predictions, what do you think happens to the the 30-odd percent of Pakistan's electorate that support this party, some fraction of which are die hard supporters? They can diminish, but I don't see them...

Imran Khan can’t win election if institutions remain neutral: Bilawal Bhutto

I agree that PTI need a larger percentage to win seats due to FPTP vs. the equivalent requirement for parties like PPP and PML, but it's still a large lead in that poll. And please don't take that 29% at face value, lots of the shortfall is due to higher DK/Undecided category. It's still a 4%...

Imran Khan can’t win election if institutions remain neutral: Bilawal Bhutto

Aye, but my whole point here is that BB's assertion is a crock of crap. Election rigging can only be done at a national level by spooks, and if the neutrals stay neutral, the only indication we have thus far is that IK is doing better than they are, and that people do not view this setup as...

Imran Khan can’t win election if institutions remain neutral: Bilawal Bhutto

Polls are volatile, I agree. But here's the latest, and it's not a KPK poll, it's a national poll: The latest IPOR poll gives PTI a lead: https://ipor.com.pk/uploads/62a04a855245c.pdf How statistically significant is this? Remains to be seen, but it's not a hard stretch to believe that they...

Imran Khan can’t win election if institutions remain neutral: Bilawal Bhutto

He may not have won without their help in 2018, but the latest polls show his party in the lead. Yet to be seen whether this is a verified trend, but if accurate, his party could be the largest if an election is held tomorrow. I know these politicians have no choice but to promote their...

PAKISTAN GETS $3.68B DEBT RELIEF FROM G-20 COUNTRIES

Our people took a VERY long time to kick the British Raj out, so maybe we wait a few more decades? We can again become the poorest place on earth (not that we’re far off), and then maybe we’ll accidentally produce some revolutionaries who can channel the people to kick out the current elite...

PAKISTAN GETS $3.68B DEBT RELIEF FROM G-20 COUNTRIES

It is, but only really from a political perspective. The measures taken thus far are pre-conditions for bailouts mixed with some balancing acts. However, if IK had stayed in power, he would have had to take almost exactly the same steps. So there’s really nothing too impressive here, the reforms...

World Bank to give Bangladesh $18b IDA loans in next five years

Good job, we worked with these guys briefly a few months ago on a Capital Markets transaction. They’re making a big push on sustainability, I suppose the proceeds from that transaction will be in part earmarked for BD; look for it in the impact report due around a year from now.
