Release it now. As you should have done with the cable/threat letter et al.
Clearly you can't have trust in the system or state, release it and vindicate the claims.
I don't know what business ISPR has making dramas anyway, used to say the same when they were making them with channels like ARY. I don't buy the conspiracy being peddled here though.
I don't know why anyone's surprised by this, it seems like a natural consequence of the war that all neighbouring nations will feel compelled to rethink and possibly push for NATO membership. It might be the decent way to prevent acts of aggression.
Honestly, don’t pay too much attention to these figures. Imran inherited a crisis on day one of his government, naturally low growth followed because of Covid. This government has also inherited an economy with less than 3 months of dollars left in the pipe, and just like Imran suffered Covid...
Best thing to do is to call an early election and break the deadlock in parliament. Speed proceedings to the extent possible. These steps are just building up to the inevitable.
Pakistan needs a credible government TODAY, I don’t think we can afford to wait until the end of the year.
Agree, but IMO it’s the natural consequence of having as much geographic, ethnic and linguistic diversity. The real issue is the combination of the existence of multiple regional parties alongside an FPTP voting system per seat. The previous two governments both had less than 40% of the vote.
IK can definitely win - although hard to predict anything with certainty. All it will take is another few weeks/months of deadlocks, an unpopular next budget etc., and this mutant government would be even less popular.
Also when it comes to electioneering, pre election alliances tend to back...
I slightly disagree here, I think it IS true that pretty much every government has walked into a situation in which default is always just a few months away, BoP crisis is there on day one. Basically, you need a stable government, credible leadership, and certainty to creditors like the IMF that...
On blasphemy cases, they are ridiculous and I'm not even discussing them here, it's these kind of bs trumped up charges that were employed against opposition politicians when IK was in power. But don't worry, bs accusations never stick.
Citizens do criticise court proceedings. I've not argued...
Courts did nothing wrong, their verdict restoring parliament was a fantastic defence of the constitution. Judges should continue resisting anyone trying to apply pressure.
If he wins, the foreign policy will be largely unchanged. Not much of a difference to 2018.
Conspiracy fantasies are great for electioneering, but not when the next round of IMF bailouts are pressing, not when you're holding the pen on legislation related to FATF grey listing, not when you have...
Was he the same guy who gave a phone call to some of the karate black belts from Gujrat? There'll be more resignations to come, but as a PTI razakar on a foreign visit once said "don't worry, everything will be okay".
Back when journalists belonging to the other side made claims against the army, they were called traitors and liars by PTI folks, including guys like Imran Riaz Khan. You reap what you sow.
It seems like our people only learn from experience.
I'm not a sociologist or historian, but if I recall correctly, sectarianism, nationalism, and tribalism as expressed through far right politics is usually resurgent in societies facing decay and economic hardship. Nazis and Italian fascists came after the great depression, European fascists...
