PAKISTAN GETS $3.68B DEBT RELIEF FROM G-20 COUNTRIES

In the short term, debt relief is the best outcome, then bilateral support and payment facilities, then multilateral support and the IMF — in that order. Long term, none of this does what we need, and every government has consistently failed to implement the reforms needed to stop us from...

Has the former DG ISI Gen Zaheerul Islam officially joined PTI?

Makes a lot of sense, I suppose he's formalising all the hard work done in years gone by.

Saudi crown prince confers King Abdulaziz medal on COAS Bajwa for strengthening Pak-Saudi ties

Yup, agree. IK has the advantage if elections were held tomorrow, the coalition government is banking on less inflation and less imminent bailout needs ahead of the next election. IMO however, it looks as though they miscalculated. They might have been best off electorally, to remove the...

Saudi crown prince confers King Abdulaziz medal on COAS Bajwa for strengthening Pak-Saudi ties

Aye, but no poll has yet to show anything near a majority for PTI, that's my point. Social media does not necessarily represent the majority view.

Saudi crown prince confers King Abdulaziz medal on COAS Bajwa for strengthening Pak-Saudi ties

Just one point of reference. IPOR poll which shows that PTI has a very significant margin lead over the governing parties, with a significant 39% of the vote, but that's 39% and nowhere near the majority. Interestingly however, that's a massive lead, enough to deliver an election victory...

Saudi crown prince confers King Abdulaziz medal on COAS Bajwa for strengthening Pak-Saudi ties

My criticisms of the man aside, he did indeed work hard to repair our relations with Saudi following the Washington incident, the Iran-Saudi mediation gaff and also the KL conference and joint-TV channel thing. Saudis were upset with us before this, and his efforts were vital in repairing...

Punjab govt warns of filing 'treason cases' against Imran Khan, allies

I wouldn’t bother picking a favourite circus animal, just enjoy the show and tip your hat to the ringmaster who’s been stepping out of the arena.

Punjab govt warns of filing 'treason cases' against Imran Khan, allies

Didn’t N league once say that every honest politician gets marked as a traitor eventually in their political careers? How the turntables.

Question for thé interior minister, why is he being arrested? I must have missed the memo about right to protest and association?

Pakistan hands over demarche to Canada over MP's irresponsible remarks

The worth of a démarche, à démarche is a dime a dozen. Including that recent special one allegedly sent somewhere about some alleged allegation.

Asad Umar admits ISI DG told NSC he ‘sees no conspiracy’

If you or anyone else thinks that Imran never violates merit, I have several bridges to sell you. The guy can talk big because on the other side are people who appoint their brothers, daughters, sons, and have dynasties. He may be less scummy in not handing over positions to family. But for...

    JAG Wins

We’re a democracy, or at least that’s what it says on paper we should be. If we can criticise politicians to the extent that we do, why do judges and generals clutch their pearls so easily? I agree that accusations can be challenged, our courts are super weak when it comes to defending people...

Pakistani Music labelled "Music of India" on Youtube

Probably the result of both lots of Pakistanis viewing music from India and Indian viewers making up a large portion of Pakistani music viewership. Idiotic nonetheless, but you can see this might confuse the algorithm.

Wapda ex-chief Muzammil Hussain skips NAB hearing in $753m (Rs. 151 billion) scam

IMO everyone is loyal, people are too quick to think their chosen political side is loyal while everyone else is a scoundrel. I prefer giving everyone the benefit of any doubt on intentions.

Wapda ex-chief Muzammil Hussain skips NAB hearing in $753m (Rs. 151 billion) scam

Poor chap is being attacked here by PTI supporters too, lol. Unless I am mistaken was he not an IK loyalist, and the mutual friend of another man in Peshawar?

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

The mach 2 thing isn't an engine issue, it's inlet limited to mach 2, current DSI configuration will prevent it and it's a design choice, likely the same is the case with the J-10B/C. We heard some talk about a new DSI style being developed for J-20s to overcome this, but haven't heard anything...

    We need grand dialogue...

You might disagree with my view here, but IMO if we had a working political system, with actual democracy, the filters applied in a working system would have removed the scum and dynasties by now. Or at least diminished them. Adding to these is the problem that our courts are only 15 years old...

    We need grand dialogue...

I agree that Pakistani politics needs to grow up, but I don't see it as a likely scenario. Charter of democracy turned out to be a failure, as well as delivering nepotistic dynasties who'll happily limit democracy if the need arises, and in their opposition it delivered a guy who's the messiah...
