Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

Given that neither of us works for the PAC or PAF, I doubt either of us would know for certain. We are after all, both civilians. However, given that the JF-17 program is a joint program with China, one could reasonably assume that the FCS is available to Pakistan. It is not as if the Chinese...

    Pakistan Naval Aviation - Updated

Chinese gear doesn't last very well. So buying second hand chinese helicopters is a least favorable move. Though, PN is in a situation where it hasn't figured out what its prinicipal ship-borne helicopter should be. This is actually a bad state of affairs and will be costly in a war. The closest...

Pakistan Navy | News & Discussions.

Calling them OPV-1900 was a smart political move. Technically, it should have been called a corvette or even an OPV-2300. PN showed its maturity by keeping it low key, and basically adding two corvettes of significant capability. I personally consider them light frigates as they are, when armed...

    Pakistan Naval Aviation - Updated

How far away is the T-629 and T-625? I think Pak military is in a bit of a hurry. AW-139 is a good idea still, don't think Leonardo would make a hassle about fitting out. They are desperate to make a sale.

Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

Well, the JF-17 FCS is available to Pakistan. US literally slapped the F-16 FCS on the F-117, with minor tweaks. And their aerodynamics are completely different. If you keep Azm approximately with the same layout - conventional with at best a twin vertical tail, you can essentially do the same...

How Turkey is sending Muslim Uighurs back to China without breaking its promise

I agree. However, Turkey is not handing over Uighurs to China, that part is fake. Find me any credible news source - there isn't. And it is outside of what I know of Turkey, and I follow their politics pretty closely. I even know where many Uighurs in Turkey are settled, and where else Turkey is...

How Turkey is sending Muslim Uighurs back to China without breaking its promise

Fake news posted from a fake news site, by a Srilankan (?) in Germany (?) Take it with a healthy dose of salt, nonMuslims always want to break our belief in each other. I assure you nothing like this is happening.

Featured Shallow Water Submarines - The case for Pakistan

Another opportunity is to use faceted shaping. Something yet to be seen in submarines, but provides the same stealth advantages as in aircraft. The USN considered this, but then dropped the idea, as speed of the submarine decreases marginally by a few knots, which was a tradeoff they were not...

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

Pak bought a lot more than spare parts from Israel... one key capability of the 90s was from Israel via a third party. @denel probably knows a lot about it.

Featured Shallow Water Submarines - The case for Pakistan

Precisely. Meaning even without AIP, a small submarine would be able to essentially fulfill the SWAT role you have envisioned. Prices have dramatically fallen for such batteries, and production has skyrocketed thanks to Elon Musk. Japan already using them. This is even better and easier for a...

Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

@JamD the parts that are missing like FCS can be borrowed or taken from other parties (China / Turkey, most likely China). Remember, the F-117 had FCS that was borrowed from the F-16 program, and they slapped the same FCS on all three axis, creating the "wobbling goblin". What our brother saw...

USAF intercepts Iranian civilian airliner over Syria?

Americans should just stop Iranian aircraft from flying to Syria. Would put a meaningful dent on the terror sponsored by Iran and "Hezbollah".

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

Pak was buying for a long time from Israel, just under the table, and through third parties. When Pak bought 18 F-16 Block 52, there were 18 more options that were also approved. I realized this after a long time. So, perhaps it is possible to acquire (not saying Pak is acquiring) F-16s now...

Thank you for making my day. Had a stressful day and then reading this post just made it the best day ever. No need to say more, will harm national interest. I can already guess what it is from the single hint you gave, and if I can do that, so can someone else... @Bilal Khan (Quwa) looks like...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Aselpod doesn't need to directly talk to other jets. Aselpod feeds the jet it is umbilically connected to, and let's that jet share the data using link 17 or whatever. It's like having a USB camera rather than a wifi camera, in very simple terms.
