    Turkish - Armenian issues

Well, if you want to know about its background, then I would advice you to read the Wikipedia entry. My belief is that this is in fact a frozen conflict. On the one side, Armenia will act only with green light from Russia. This is very possible, 1. Russia is very annoyed with the Azeri...

    Turkish - Armenian issues

I really have nothing else to say on the AG, it has all been said. I think what would be interesting is a conversation on Turkish Armenian relations as they relate to the Artsakh conflict.

Iran's Persian Gulf gambit takes shape

The last time the United States faced a formidable opponent was in the 18th century (British). Since the, they have only engaged guerrilla style combatants or practically ruined regimes like Baathist Iraq. What makes any of you think that the US is ready to take on Iran?

    Syrians and Turkish

 Yes, but Syria was technically right. If a foreign jet crosses into its airspace it can shoot it down. At this point, I think it can safely be assumed that it was shot down in Syria airspace, as both Russia and US have independently confirmed this.

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

Your arguments are becoming weaker and weaker. I ask you to explain 301, you keep repeating "political tool." Clearly, you know nothing about contemporary Turkey either. Things are changing, there is nothing you can do about it. This will be my last post.

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

"A political tool"? Care to elaborate? How does prosecution of those who recognize the Genocide under Article 301 translate into politics? This has nothing to do with politics, but everything to do with the falsification of history. That was a BS answer. You don't know a single thing about...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

It has been used against Orhan Pamuk for recognzing genocides of Armenian and Kurdish people. In 2007, Arat Dink and another Armenian were persecuted for recognizing AG as it was "insult to Turkishness" The same happened to Ragip Zaroklu. ---------------------------- You are lying through...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

Don't know about Bahrain and UAE, but if a regional war breaks out involving the US/Israel and Iran, Russia will be drawn into the conflict. It will have to invade Georgia to establish a direct supply line to its base in Armenia. It will happen. Because it is the truth. The way I see it, if...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

You can't give me facts, because the Genocide is reality and therefore your "facts" are nothing but lies. You are really stupid if you think I will debate whether the AG happened or not. How would you feel if I invited you to a discussion on whether or not the PKK has killed Turkish soldiers...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

You call me a Turcaphobe as if I should be insulted by such a name. You probably pulled those questions from some Kemalist website. I'm not impressed. I can try to answer your questions, but I'm just a college student. I am not an expert on Armenian history. If you want the truth, read the...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay. Just coming off a fresh ban:D I'll try to address the posts in order: @Cirit: You are posing the very same arguements that Genocide and Holocaust deniers have been making over the past 20th century. Read the book Ottoman Centuries by Lord Kinross. He is the...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

I will gladly acknowledge PKK as terrorists if you acknowledge the Genocide.

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

I see. The 21 nations (and 43 US states) recognizing the Armenian Genocide are all liars just like me. And Turkey, successor of the perpetrator, is the truthful one. And I am the brainwashed one??????????/

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

You're just being stupid. I never said Syria's side of the story was factual. All I'm saying is that the ONLY FACT is that Syrian airspace was at some point violated. I will base arguments off of this. Why would Turkey lie?!?!?! Why would Turkey lie about the Armenian Genocide, about the Greek...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

Oh, I don't have proof of that. I'm not saying it was. What I am saying is that my arguments will be based on facts not opinions. The story that Turkish plane was in international airspace at time of shooting is the Turkish opinion, not fact. All perspectives are important. I'm sure that...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

Proof about what? Everything I have said has been factual. Both sides acknowledge that Syrian airspace was violated. Saying that plane was in international airspace during time of shooting is only the Turkish perspective.

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

What hatred? What are you talking about? Just because I side with Syria over this does not mean I'm emotional and therefore misinformed. Turkey cannot make the assumption that it can violate airpace because Syria has done so. Especially not, given the relations. Yes, Turkey is overreacting by...

Turkey's army on red alert, Syria in "real war", Spec. ops. in Syria

Turkey is overreacting as usual........ No need for AA system deployment, or tanks, or troops on the border with Syria. Stop violating foreign airspace, and Turkish jets will stop being shot down. Simple as that.:coffee:

Turkey must apologize to Syria for violating its airspace: Iran

I'm glad that Turkey did such a great thing. Your respect for them is understandable as well. But don't let such admiration get in the way of rationale. Before Turkey can become a great country, it must recognize the genocides of the Armenian, Greek, Assyrian, and Chaldean people. There is...
