The price tag is known and reported. You want to dispute this tag yet you offer zero evidence aside from your childish tantrums! I think the burden of proof is on your shoulders in this circumstance!
Until you offer solid evidence why the reported price tag is incorrect, you are wasting my time.
In other words, I am engaging in a discussion based on known facts, while you engage in wishful thinking. You can talk fantasy if you wish but the facts are on my side, and reality is based on facts, not wishful thinking.
Notice in the video, the ERIEYE has to work with ground control operators. A true AWAC doesn't need to work with ground controllers as everything is done in the air!
Speak for yourself. I only argued factually. You're the one engaging in emotional based fantasy speculations!
Despite citing the 200M price tag for a ERIEYE, you still cannot factually accept the 70M price tag for the ZDK03 strongly supports it is not an AESA. This is where you are becoming...
You prove my point. Thank you. The Erieye is not even a full AWAC but an AEW, aand it cost 200Milllion each! But it does use AESA!
Yet you believe a full AWAC with AESA can cost less than 70M? Wake up from dream land.
Right, a prototype existed since 2005. That prototype did not use the KJ2000 aesa dish, did it? ZDK03 derived from that original prototype based on improvements the Pakistanis wanted, but it doesn't mean they suddenly microsized the KJ2000 system onto the Y8! Reality doesn't work this way...

<Kanwa News April 10, 2002> The first A50I that Israel's IAI originally planned to assemble for China today remains in Tel-Aviv. 60% percent of the internal installation of the aircraft had been completed when Israeli Cabinet formally decided to dismiss this transaction. Up till...
You speak without any knowledge whatsoever. The infamous Chinese "cheap" price doe not apply to high tech items like AESA T/R MODULES!! USA can make AESA T/R modules much more cheaply than China can!! I don't think China can make an AESA AWAC for 70 Million! 200M Maybe!
That's not factual. The ZDK03 has existed since 2005, and it was widely known to be for the PAF. Maybe some of the forum members were confused however a source which cannot distinguish between a KJ2000 and a ZDK03 is not a reliable and trustworthy source.
There's no way given the price that...
Do you see the problem in the highlighted sections? The ZDK03 and the KJ2000 are not the same, nor are they similiar to the Swedish Erieye AEW! Bad reporting. Dubious source.
Dubious article because it lumps the KJ2000, KJ200 and the ZDK03 together. The KJ2000/200 is AESA but considering the price of 70M per ZDK03 AWAC, I seriously doubt it's AESA.
I wonder what the insides of the ZDK-03 look like? I think they probably look similar to the KJ200 since they share the same platform, though if I'm not mistaken, isn't the KJ200 an AEW whereas the ZDK03 is meant to be a full AWAC?
I think the past precedent of PAF modifying Chinese systems with Western subsytems and improving them will be a thing of the past. The reason being the improvement of China's technological capability, thus greatly reducing or eliminating altogether the disparity between Western and Chinese...
I wonder how the ZDK-03 performs in comparison to the Swedish Erie Eye?
I think China understands Pakistan's needs very well, and therefore, will not give junk to the Pakistanis. The ZDK-03 is probably overall more capable than either the Swedish Erie Eye or the KJ200 though it does not use...
Following the introduction of the KJ-2000 AWACS and KJ-200 (Y-8 'Balance Beam) AEW aircraft in 2001/02, a third Chinese AEW aircraft programme was revealed in 2005. Based on the Shaanxi Yun-8F400 airframe, the aircraft features a conventional rotodome mounted above the fuselage. Internet source...
Chinese Military Aviation | China Air Force
Based on Chinese sources, it's not as advanced as the Kj2000(3-AESA) or Kj-200, which has an AESA balanced beam.
It uses a conventional pulse-doppler.

The PAK-FA has not finished it's development. The engine used in that demonstration flight is not even the final engine. The PAK-FA will be an ALL-ASPECT stealth fighter otherwise what is the point???
I am 100% sure the PAK-FA will be superior to the Chinese JXX including it's stealth.
