Pakistan, Afghanistan will fight terrorism 'together': army chief

This statement shouldn't had come from Bajwa instead it should be the Afghan army chief but instead he is looking to reply Pakistan in the same fashion so exactly is General Bajwa smoking which made him give this statement and why cant Pakistan fight terrorism alone? We have been fighting it alone for over a decade. The only difference is we were reluctant to go after the heads which are all residing in Afghanistan. To a limited extent that has changed but still alot needs to be done by Pakistan in Afghanistan.

Not this time please. Army should clearly tell nation: what exact number of dead civilians they want to hot pursuit terrorists in Afg?
A terrorist attack happens and then there is some action for face saving. We are tired of this dramabazi.
If you are incompetent enough not to take action then resign, and allow someone other to do this.
It won't happen as it didn't happen when the kids of APS were butchered...Foots can't cross the durand line, this is against international laws...Or may be some other reasons..But APS event established this fact..May be something in future can change this policy..So far it seems though intact

army leadership has chickened out again!

Here is afghan version.

So much for our sovereignty and nuclear deterrence

how is there carrot and stick?

Let's fight terrorism together, we give Afghanistan $500 million aid, we give access to our ports etc. but if they don't do what's reasonably expected of them in return, we bomb the sh1t out of them...carrot and stick!

Good idea. Wise decision. Afghanistan needs our ports as well.

Crossing the border illegaly or supporting terrorists is not against international laws? Well I think PA dont want to create history or it will be followed by other S.Asian countries i.e India.

Well with India we already have a history..And that is what i was saying..We can't cross the border..We can not violate air space..We can't close the border for long time..We don't know whether we have to work with afghan government or not..How we both can cooperate...Seems no peace in Pakistan as everybody is confused what to do..

Right. But we can pressurize NUG to provide us with our demands by keeping the border close--keeping in mind this is the last time we have leverage over them bcz after Chahbahar we may lose this leverag. Simultaneously we need to keep focus on longterm border management-- fencing, trenching or whatever-- for restricting the illegal border crossing. After that we can expect peace in Pakistan.
