Not for China hostile enemy states to get an equal footing with P5 Countries also US threatend to nuke us to stone age why? Because they have the firepower do so back then they had 800+ thermonuclear ICBM missiles Pakistan has 0 Thermonuclear ICBMS currently.... Our Nuclear programme isn't developed yet hence big brother China willing to help

Your correct about developing SSBN, also a nations best detterent is SSBN/SLBM.... JL-2 can only carry 3-4 warheads and as these years go by missile defence will also get much better, so Ideally we need something better than JL-2 if possible... And to counter Indias ABM you would need 6-10 MIRVed Missiles.



JL-2 has range which is important but as far as Mirv is concerned it's has up max 4 MIRV we need more to counter Indias ABM...


Yh Pakistan desperately needs SSBN/SLBM as this is a countrys best detterent.... When all your land is destroyed your ssbn still lives within the sea and can help you retaliate.... right now Indias nuclear programe is more advanced and Pak is building SSBN will be operational by 2025-2030 ..... But by that time India may have 3-6 SSBNs, so we need nuclear powered submarines hosting 16 Thermonuclear high yeilding ICBMS... Arihant can carry 12 missiles ours should carry 16 in order to balance things out a little.

Please read my post again, I never mentioned about current JL-2, I said about rumoured Advance JL-2 with possibly upto 10 MIRVs or may carry HGV.
 
I thought pakistan already had missiles that can reach every corner of india. what pak is going to do with icbms then?

Why dont you ask your ally Israel why they have the Samson option. You people are so mealy mouthed little pipsqueaks. Just the kind of guys who used to get beaten up in the school playground. Oh, easy there diarrhea mouth. It makes no sense for china to help you target israel because india targeted it. China transferred you nuke technology and even gave you the enriched fuel to make a bomb. It gave you current missile tech (some through NK and some directly) I don't know why it should wait for India to do something to give you guys ICBM tech.

Whoa! Rein your sea-horses there!

1. China said nothing about SLBM. May be ICBM.

2. Indian MRBM can hit all of china but not from everywhere in India, which is why India is seeking longer range missiles. I think DRDO seeks around 6000 - 6500 km range missile which will nicely cover all of China from anywhere in India. Beyond this it will come down to having MIRV and MARV, which means increasing payload.

3. For Pakistan, an ICBM makes no sense, even if you want to hit Israel. A 3500 - 4000 KM range MRBM will do just fine, especially given how small and narrow Israel is. It can even be hit by putting smaller payload on existing Shaheen III missile.

I guess beyond logic you also need to learn geography a bit as well.

I have a better idea, why don't you ask PLA/PLAF/PLAN to take command of PA, PAF and PN. That way it will be one big P(L)A, P(L)AF, P(La)N and you will get all the Chinese toys.

Before responding to posts here, please enhance your knowledge first about defence and how things work in defence world, specially how Pakistani defence works.

That additional front is already there. There's already tension between Vietnam and China and it's rather US that's trying to bring Vietnam/Phillipines/Japan/South Korea together and now adding India to the mix to try to contain China. US is the key player that can provide significantly superior armament to Vietnam. No offense but India is not yet in the position to play such strategy games of the global scale nor does India possess some advanced indigenous weapons to empower Vietnam with.
 
I personally hope we do conduct the tests. Should have been done ages ago
