We were once called international migraine by US secretary of state. Most of us enjoyed that label. We just like to do things 180 degrees to what others might do. "Go with the flow" doesnt work in Pakistan. We are not monolithic race like arabs or turks, rather we are a very ancient civilisation, hence you see a lot diversity within us, from blacks of southern baluchistan on the coastline to the whites of the north. Different ideas, different politics within, that's why our policies are not inline with other nations. Islam is however the major driving force within and when we look around , specially in this day and age, after coming out of this brutal war on/of terror, there is strong inclination to look into Islam for answers. And the way geopolitics is shaping up, it's all falling in line for what was already prophesied. Hence the beliefs are getting much stronger.honestly, I wouldn’t call it an inferiority complex. That’s a long stretch.
it’s just that nothing ever makes sense in Pakistan. Counterintuitive is the philosophy that guides everything that Pakistan does as a nation. There are many examples, don’t even get me started. Pakistan and Pakistanis will always chose the option that makes less logical sense.
The issue of Isreal is no longer just a Palestinian issue, with all due respect, atleast for learned Pakistanis. There is a saying in Pakistan which goes like " one was created by Rehman, other was by Dajjal". And that's where the penny drop. The ultimate clash of good and evil.
