Look at this LUMS professor tweet.
Try tweeting similar apologist or justification message in a western country and see how quickly the police knocks your door.

They are just high on all the money they are getting fromtheir masters, hopefully with liberalism on the defensive in europe this will change, plus they are frustrated that after years of work no one really gives a shit about them!!!!

Seriously, there needs to be some huge protests around LUMS. What are they teaching when they have faculty members like these?

Wtf is "BLA Gunmen", whose narrative is being peddled here?

And it's not like its such a brilliant university, last I read its world ranking was abysmal compared to rest of the Pakistan Universities.

I don't get what is wrong with her tweet. She says that we should not generalize the attackers as 'missing persons' straight away. Because if we generalize them, we legitimize the enforced disappearance of Pakistani People by security agencies : much of them are actually bad people, but the problem is that we need fix institutions rather than the people at this moment.

We have been disappearing anti state elements for the past 70 years with no success. They keep popping up don't they?

Balochistan actually HAS a big problem and that is of underdevelopment and negligence by almost every government to date. Hence those young men in poverty will do anything to break free.

I believe that our agencies must have solid proof when they pick up a person from Balochistan but there is no check and balance. In Islam not even the Khalifa was immune to checks let alone a whole institution.

Its time that we see BLA terrorists being prosecuted in a court in front of everyone instead of deleting that person from the face of Earth.

Our Agencies take these actions in good faith but they always backfire. Its time they change their policy and work with the govt. towards a better Balochistan. It is almost as if the Establishment is a hurdle in the way of economic and political development of Balochistan. Maybe they think that such empowerment of Balochistan might be a threat to national security of Pakistan as a whole. Who knows how the think tanks in the establishment actually think...

No agencies work with Gov they work for Gov so before anyone of us criticize our agencies we sud look at the role of other agencie how they operate like Mosad RA&w CIA or you can name any their job is to protect nation so its for hook or crook, you want to bring these agencies under gov then make sure we dont have people like Rahman malik who are happen to every place in gov i think they way they are working is better than what our police and judiciery doing to 1 million pending cases.
question about balochistan i think one have to go and work there to see how much they can actually make than working in other parts of country they are making much better money and have better life but if you are punjabi or from different race these foreign agents will wipe you from planet,70% of these missing person either living in delhi india or Afg, BLA terrorist are not normal people most of them are high on drugs or under imense pressure to do such activities cuz of their previous history.
i rather not blame our agencies they have been producing results from this small budget losing lives we hardly know how many of them are missing so far, no one raise voice for them but for BLA or missing person.

We need to change our strategy vis a vis balochistan and fata but pouring in lots of Money without proper planning & thought won't do the trick either I agree with you the current strategy/policy is not working and will not work in the long term we need to go back to the drawing board and be creative on both political and economic fronts on this one

True. The root cause of all problems emanating from Balochistan is government negligence and ignoring people from that region. 70 years is a long period and honestly no government has ever shown seriousness to uplift people from that region. Instead focusing on tribal leaders and feudal lords we could have focused on community and ordinary people, we could have secured loyalties of intellectuals, poets, artists, traders, professionals, youth and old and everyone from that region. They are Pakistanis and they have every right to welfare and development, leaving them to tribal leaders was the biggest mistake ...... the situation will keep getting worse as time passes by .... even the educated people from that region cannot break free from the cycle they have been subjected to.

This bitch is an enemy of Pakistan. A terrorist supporter.

Another weakness of the state. Unable to confront and detain terrorist supporters. These are people who educate our children.

You are putting too much faith in a corrupt judiciary that won’t prosecute terrorists. It will let them go free. The judiciary in Pakistan has already proved that it is handpicked bulwark of the previous regimes. You need military courts for this purpose.

These "kirmani" types should be kicked back to their "kirman" in Iran, they are such a misfit in our indigenous Pakistani society.

This thread is a khatra to jamhooriyat. Our love of Jamhooriyat means all treason is tolerated, as long as jamhooriyat is not threatened. Pakistan is not important, the corrupt political system which sustains the elites is essential!

Salman Hammal, one of the attackers, followed her on Twitter :(

Sometimes they're genuinely unaware of the impact of their activism - you can't expect academia to know how insurgencies & counter-insurgencies work.

They all know it too well. Being a foreign faculty you can't be probed for getting funny money. They get their money in their foreign accounts and peddle their propaganda on Pakistan soil. This isn't funny anymore.
