i am referring to educated Muslims who are very well aware of what the Islamic teachings are.
You have to give specific examples, but I think this leads to religious discussion. Someone's personal belief and thought could be in opposition to the Quran, however, an individual can rectify his thinking by leaning towards the truth - which is the correct approach towards religion [Quran 30-30]. And our truths are not all going to be exactly the same. We can have different opinions, yet be within the bounds of the Quran. On the other hand, someone with a misleading agenda, sectarian or nationalist ideology or dogma in violation to the Quran is a different matter. Over the years I learnt not to trust sectarian or nationalist following. We must be led by personal faith and understanding. This is the Sunnah.

So your forefathers used to do that as they were Indian Muslim..and after separating from India, we have become a better Muslim...this is what you want to say?
Muslims in Pakistan Bangladesh have learnt about their religion and strived to better stick to their faith. Muslims in India have idol worshipper influence and are getting married to Hindus, does bidaat and from personal experience, wouldn’t shake hand with you because she’s Muslim but sleep with your hindu friend while on her period 🤷🏻‍♂️

Iqbal and Jinnah should be given a salute

You are generalizing your personal experience with millions of people. You sure you are good on Judgement Day.

well the example i had in mind was based on the results of the poll i saw in this thread. Muslims not believing in Angels when they are mentioned in the Quran. So how can one be Muslim and at the same time say what is in the Quran is not true.

also, its risky the part i bolded. I saw this lady from the UAE a few months ago who prays her own way. Not the way the sunnah teaches us, and what was her reasoning ? "Islam and faith are between me and Allah and its personal and its how i understand and its what makes me feel good". for example , no Qiblah , sits in a chair , with scented candles , yoga positions and meditates.

this is unacceptable. The basics need to be kept as is.

also, i agree with you about staying far from sectarian and nationalists, and other groups of course. They usually tailor and change it in a way that benefits them and their goals. this usually end up giving Muslims and Islam a very bad reputation.

The poll is not only from educated people, but random and reflects the general population. People under Fitrah [uneducated] can have beliefs which are not complete or not accurate. For example, Prophet Ibrahim a.s. went through personal faith reasoning to arrive at the truth about Allah. The historical father of the Monotheist religion at some point thought the sun, moon, and planet star are his Lord.

Rejecting the Sunnah of the Prophets which include prostration to Allah and replacing with scented candles and Yoga indicates lack of belief in Allah. But if someone hasn't rejected Salat and does meditation, that is their personal choice, although I don't see the necessity of it. Allah says in the Quran some Christian monks were not praying the correct way but He accepted their prayers. Sincerity matters.

I have not met a person who could tell me he believes in Angels with a straight face.
Religious beliefs get tempered with your environment.
If a guy in India/West/China/far East told me that he believed in this stuff, I would laugh.
If I was in Pakistan, though, I would probably believe in Angels.😁
You need to get out your slum and visit the world where 3.8 billion people believe in angels ,
,
but for pagans like yourself monkey head boy is fine along with he’s elephant head cousin and don’t get me started on the dildo being praised worship all over India .

:D Whole world laughs at these comedic cartoon characters

that was back then. Hundreds of years ago. Educated muslims and people in general can easily access information about the correct way.

anyway, may Allah forgive our sins and their sins

I doubt the merits of this survey. Most religious people believe in Heaven - Hindus are no exception to this. Less than 60% belief in heaven does not sound credible.

Indian Muslims are Muslims. They do all kinds of shirq
Stop giving Fatwas mate. You have no clue about Tawheed or Shirk. Nor you know how Tawheed Shirk are to be distiguished from other so stop giving Fatwahs.

"It was narrated from Shaddad bin Aws that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
'The thing that I fear most for my nation is associating others with Allah. I do not say that they will worship the sun or the moon or idols, but deeds done for the sake of anyone other than Allah, and hidden desires.'” Ibn Majah, Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4205.

The only shirk to take place is minor shirk which is performing acts of worship n cjarity to gain approval of people or to be prraised by them or for show-off. Major shirk which Khawarij accuse muslims of doesnt n will not take place. Minor shirk is not just unique to Indians almost every Muslim is plagued with it.

Same hadith is narrated in Musnad of Imam Ahmad:

And all narrators of this Hadith are Thiqa:

Stop talking about things which you dont know. Muslims do not commit major shirk. Only idiots with no understanding of Tawheed shirk will accuse Muslims of this or those who follow kharijism. Prophet did not lie about ummah and kharijis and idiots are liars.

Hinduism does not have eternal heaven (as is the case with Abrahamic faiths). But in general, they have the notion of better afterlife by merging with a universal consciousness. One can attain this privilege only if you live a pious life. It is not like most Hindus believe that once you are dead, you are dead forever.
