When Imran Khan was in power their shitty Twitter handle of the US Embassy was rather quiet now it's posting LGBTQ PR like the good old days. The f*cking Americans.

IMF insisting on withdrawal of subsidiaries on petroleum products and electricity. IMF has so far not received any green light from Biden Administration.

The focus is now once again towards china 🇨🇳

Because that is the correct thing to do financially. Pakistan cannot afford to provide the subsidies. No green or any other color light is needed to do what is financially sensible.

Well the long march is on 25-May.

The government is in no position to hike oil and electricity prices. It will be political suicide. They can’t go to Russia nor do a gradual hike.

PTI knows and that’s why the pressure is being applied.

True but there you are. IMF and FATF are financial tools which are used politically.

Those claims are made only by those who are beneficiaries (and their cronies) of the existing system that does not want to carry out the structural reforms or the anti-money laundering steps required to put Pakistan's financial house in order. What the IMF recommends is only based on sound financial principles, and what the FATF mandates is good practice for preventing terrorism financing. Following both is only good for Pakistan, but not for its elite.

Suddenly USA cares for Pakistan? But wouldn't give you spare parts and ammunition for the F-16s and other equipment during wars?
