China needs to change its mindset; when you think of the U.S., think of NATO as you will not be fighting the U.S. alone in any significant conflict. The below quote would go a long way in China's favor when thinking of the West:

If the US includes the NATO to fight or attack China or Russia, then I think China will ally with Russia to fight NATO, I think there is a tacit understanding between the two.

China may have more ships, but the US has over 10,500 VLS cells to Chinas 4,500. More than double Chinas, not to mention US naval aviation capability is decades ahead of Chinas.

The Soviets also had a larger Navy than the US during the Cold War.

The US will always win on quality and tech.

Anglo Saxon work ethic is superior to Russian work ethic for sure, even back in the days of Russian empire. The German ethnic in Russia have always been considered more hard working and more disciplined. Hence the quality of American products were superior, especially when Anglo Saxon work ethic and culture prevailed in the US.

However, Anglo Saxon work ethic does not match that of Confucious North East Asian countries. Not to mention that the current prevailing culture in the US is no longer Germanic or Anglo Saxon but closer to third world countries, as laziness, indisciplinedness and jungle freedom are praised.
