Gunships can hunt Gunships. Put a Viper against an Apache/Hind, the Viper will win thanks to its AA Missiles.

Pakistan must show concern to US that India purchase Apache helicopters, that's illegal.

    :disagree:

The word used was doubt. Which in all practicality should be pondered over. How likely is it that we will use helicopters to fight helicopters when we have armour to deal with. More likely there will be targeted by all those anti air guns etc we have accumulated for no other conceivable purpose.
Again, helicopters air to air capability is unimportant and how it takes care of tanks is more important.
We need helicopters which are faster and quieter for SSG operations I think. But again useless hope with our funds and restrictions.

Ask the Chinks for the Stealth Blackhawk from Osama's lair. Tell them to mass produce them and call it "JH-17"

Here! We don't care a fuk! :P Pakistan can never compete with India in an arms race. You can't afford it!

However, your arms acquisitions can be financed by the Ambanis who can easily fund your entire defence budget! :cheesy: :P

Not as a Prime threat, but still holds great threat perception as a volatile entity with 7th largest standing military on the face of the planet. Any additional risk posed by introduction of of new offensive or defensive systems need to be mitigated at all levels, including diplomatic coercions and pressure tactics to hedge against it. As far as real threat arising from these systems, most of the times due to the size of existing defense systems, countermeasures for scalability and potential inductions such systems already exist, but often some systems need additional development of counter strategies, I don't see anything wrong in alteast registering protests to our so called allies when they are arming nations in our vicinity.

Well US needs to know this for sure, that they cannot arm Pakistan against India and expect India to fully trust them as an Ally and along with that India has multiple options to cater to it's defense procurement needs.. Thats that.

What was the logic behind the statement? Both Russian and Pakistani sources have confirmed the deal yet you want to some how prove that it is not there.
So India is not getting the Rafales or the Apaches either? Or the Modi deals in France were crap?? Somehow you lose all logic in spite.... Let us get illogical and talk crap instead like children...

India has only one source other then Russia which is America, both are leaders in technology. While other countries provide some specialisation here and there, only two markets can give everything. And the US never cares about who it sells its weapons to, competing countries always get weapons according to their needs.

Are you sure there is confirmation? All I have heard of is offers. Yet the numbers, price, weapons package, time frame, I haven't sen any details.

Now for American deal Did I raise any questions, because we know for sure it has been approved and in the past Pakistan has scored a bunch of free stuf from EDA account.

Well not all militaries announce things like that before or even after delivery. What was the unit price of the F 16s we got from Jordan and how early were they announced before they arrived. Details are not always released.
What do you want, Pakistan to come launch a special parade and announce that the helicopters will be coming soon??

Are you sure about that, Guess where Ouragan, mystère IV, Mirages, Mica's, Matra 530d, Matra Magic, Hunters, harriers Jaguars, Sea Eagles,, etc came from. Do no understimate the Euro market, which has been open to India since it'ss inception and continued at the peak of Coldwar and is stonger than ever now. Not to mention the Israelis, who have a thriving relationship with India.

Because it was used items sold to pakistan.

1981 by PRC objections to the level of US arms sales to the Republic of China on Taiwan. Secretary of State Alexander Haig visited China in June 1981 in an effort to resolve Chinese concerns about America's unofficial relations with Taiwan. Vice President Bush visited the PRC in May 1982. Eight months of negotiations produced the US-PRC Joint Communiqué of August 17, 1982. In this third communiqué, the US stated its intention to gradually reduce the level of arms sales to the Republic of China, and the PRC described as a fundamental policy their effort to strive for a peaceful resolution to the Taiwan question.

5th generation jets? Drones? Helicopters? Most weapon systems are technologically advanced in two countries, and US is the leader. Your point was valid 10 years ago but not in the future.... European market for drones or jets or helicopters or SAMs or anything more advanced other then maybe armour....
They are not even starting a 5th generation project or a proper drone project. let alone moving forward in any meaningful other project.
