A very interesting interview, very new and very relevant to this thread. Especially worth watching for Pakistan after about minute 20. The path India is following is the path of the Israelis. Take up control via the Lobbies, even to the detriment of America's own interests. Ultimately, the political blackmailing or buying politicians does and will make American political system to do the bidding of the foreign powers often at the expense of American interests. Sane elements in America know that about Israel. They will eventually know that about India too.

No sour grapes here--that's what America is setup for and Pakistan would do the same if Pakistan had this large of diaspora Pakistanis.

India doesn't really have a group similar of similiar size to the evangalicals. Indian-American diaspora is much smaller in comparison, and even within that group the first generation born in the US don't really care much about India.

I swear to God, either you're speed typing & making a hell of a lotta grammar mistakes or my buddy @Yasser76 is spot on that you haven't a clue what the hell you're talking about.
usa, India strategic interests started to merge in days,of Clinton. The USA saw,the need to have a strong India in their desire contain China and keep India Ocean firmly under usa grip .
How's that been working out for you guys so far?
Have you even scratched the surface - of Finger 3 or 4. Sorry, but I lost count of the area they took away from you guys. I believe there's a term: ...like taking candy away from a baby.
your incredibly short sighted and overly optimistic if you think one single weapons deal would be allowed too undo decades of work.
usa India Japan Australia is here to stay .
That's what could have been said about Turkey (too) while they were/are Members of NATO. They did it to the 2nd most powerful NATO Member and the US are No. 1.

And seriously..., Australia! They're as relevant as a fart in Spacecraft.
India politicians are veterans we have good influential indian origin American politicians in white house to ensure no major problems.
American equipment will continue to arrive
and India will remain a major ally of all.western nations and indeed Russia too
WoW.

You've made such a compelling argument there, that we should just pack our sh!t, hand you the keys to Pakistan and migrate to the Rep. of Congo.

This isn't the Wild West. You're not the Masters of Universe.

You're as useful to the US as an ashtray on a motorbike if you can't contain China. Good luck selling the major ally to China.

Do you know the real difference between Pakistan and India...?

When the going gets tough, EVERYONE looks to Pakistan to get them out of the ditch they've gotten themselves into, all on their own.

US approached us to eradicate the Soviets and we succeeded, so much so that the fall of USSR can be credited to Pakistan.

We were approached for Yemen and we declined - otherwise it would've been a whole different ball game and not lasted as long as it already has.

How many Nations approach you guys to intervene with all the might of your Armed Forces? I'm gonna take a shot in the dark & say - Zero.

You guys weren't even invited to the party for the Afghan Peace Process, even though you're best buds with the present Afghan President. 'cause you bring nothing to the table.

Now coming to the topic in hand.
- The US Team wants to partner with us (again). Fine
- They don't want to partner with us. Fine

We've got China in our corner and that alone is fine by us.

republican or democrats, Pakistan never was/is/will be friend of US, we were always used and abused and this will continue to happen in future as well, as and when required we will be good and as and when required we will be thrown in the dust bin after US's interests are over

I have started to ignore him, at some point you realise he is so ignorant that by debating him, you are doing all the teaching and he is doing all the learning, as he responds with brain farts he tries to disguise as facts, and you respond with data and quotes, as a result he gets educated for free. Typical of their type.

Ignore him

You pakistanis seem to know alot more about Biden and USA strategic goals then the usa media themselves

The narritive your inventing is actually funny ................. Like bIden is going to pull miracles for you

This is the problem your constantly looking to someone to save you from your threat perception

China now
USA previously
admiring glances at Russia
The Arab on muslim brotherhood.

nobody is doing jack........... unless its in their own strategic interests

Even the chinease stopped at Ladakh ................Why ...........because they did not fancy losing chinease lives.

here read the article below and its American not pakistani or indian narritive .

The reality ..............as i pointed out earlier to you YASSER and others ...........politics is dirty and full of self interests .....

USA no 1 goal " contain china " full stop
no2 control global terror against West ..
India is and will remain the a major usa pivot and its a national security agenda that is forcasted to last for decades.

Biden will likely continue to champion strong US-India relations (cnbc.com)

@Yasser76 - I'm gonna take one last crack at this blowhole & then i'll follow your instructions of ignoring him 'cause he appears as the Arnab GoswaWhatsHisFace on PDF. Real comfort that you can't tell if he's screaming, but his grammer kinda gives it away since it seems he's punching the keboard in sheer frustration.

No one is suggesting that we know Biden more than the US Media. You just came up with that on your own.

And we lost hope in the US a long time back, but maintain a Diplomatic Relations with them. Do NOT forget, Zalmay Mamozy Khalilzad, the Special Representative for Afghanistan spent an awful lotta time in Pakistan during the Afghan Peace Process. Now why do you think that is? We sure as hell didn't invite him the first couple of dozen times.

Biden may not pull miracles for us - but you'll see that he'll be knocking at our door for miracles. I'll be sure to tag you then.

First off, don't even assume to think you have a clue what we have going on with China. Our relationship with China dates back way before you were even conceived.

I've already made my point on USA.

Not sure where Russia came from. You must be taking notes from Fanboys on PDF. I sure as hell don't trust the Russians. But that doesn't mean we can't have Diplomatic Relations with them and/or discuss stuff like Trade.

What just because you're buddy-buddy with the Ruskis, means you have dibs on them.

That is how business is conducted in Politics. Nobody does jack unless they get something in return. I believe that's Chapter 1 in Politics 101.
Even the chinease stopped at Ladakh ................Why ...........because they did not fancy losing chinease lives.
They did?

Funny..., last I recall you're the ones that lost Soldiers in double digits and had a ward full of injured (in perfect health) for Modi's visit.

What about the PLA? Any evidence* to suggest that they too suffered the same fate?

*yeah we all know how good you're at presenting evidence. a la AMRAAM.
here read the article below and its American not pakistani or indian narritive .
Biden will likely continue to champion strong US-India relations (cnbc.com)
First off, that is a prediction from cNBC not the White House Press Office. Oh wait, they haven't even settled in. Secondly, I believe the word in title of the article reads 'likely'.

You know, you started the post with: You Pakistanis...

Well, you Indians think that you can buy friendship by placing an order for Military hardware. Its a fine way of being shafted while still installing toilets seats.

Now i'm done with you and your b.s. - you couldn't find your forehead with a map and a flashlight.

America and American's needs to look at Pakistan beyond the lens of Afghanistan or Afghan peace, Pakistan can and will play a larger role in the world's Politics and other major world's conflicts than the Afghan fcuking war ...

We should always have a balance approach with USA. They are our biggest trade partner and we need them. It will be great if we can get block 70 or Surplus F-16s, if not, we need to make sure that we continue to get the spars for our F-16s.
We should not allow USA ask us to “do more” Our politicians and sellout media need to grow small balls and talk about how CIA/Mossad/NDS/RAW are running terrorists camps in Afghanistan. Once we complete the border fence with Afghanistan, we need to tighten the border crossing to prevent terrorists entering Pakistan. Anyone coming from Afghanistan into Pakistan must have a valid visa or paperwork.

Yes, but when we already have US with our F-16 bases and we were able to use them during Feb 27th with no repucussions than what harm is there in adding more numbers and thus easily retiring more Mirages and F-7s, by your criteria than shall we just give up all our F-16s and ask US to leave? Fail to understand the logic here
I don't know how I can get this across. Try fiddling with the F16 the same way as you fiddle with mirages!

I wish you are right. I really do. But I disagree.
Indians have figured out the path to their global rise is through America. In India's own neighborhood and even regionally, India is a B-Grade power. The path India is following is exporting its huge surplus manpower especially to America and even influencing American policies to India's favor. Yes, today they are small-ish in population but do you know that their numbers in America have grown 38% in less than 2 decades? Watch the video I posted above to see what the Indian lady is saying, ponder as to how the Jewish-Americans--who are barely about 2% percent of American population have so successfully steered all American policies in favor of Israel--perhaps read the seminal Mearseihmer / Walt paper from 2006 to help you.

It is not the number of people. It is the number of dollars! Spend enough and you can have a nobody like Ross Perot grab almost 20% of American votes. American political system is more and more literally UP FOR SALE to the highest bidders and Lobbies lead the way!

In international politics all nations with any decent standing look at their interests before dwelling on issues like human lives, human rights, democracy etc etc. Own strategic interests stand above everything else. History is full of instances when priorities and narratives of nations have changed drastically. Arab countries vs Israel is one such example. Pakistan howling about Muslim rights in Kashmir but complete and total silence about Uyghurs is another one. India has also done the same on various issues and occasions.

What does US want currently?
1. It wants to maintain its hegemonic and all powerful status in the world.
2. Get an honourable exit from Afganistan. The new administration hasn’t yet spoken on this. Considering US propensity of power projection the Biden administration might like to continue in Afganistan. A little clarity would emerge in the next few months.
3. Contain Iranian nuclear program.

There are many more but these three appear to be of most interest in this part of the world. These three were also one of the most noisy issues in the Trump foreign policy and may remain so with Biden too.

US knows that for Afghan issue Pakistan has to play a big role. Against China, India is its biggest bet.

Let’s see how the Biden administration balances between Pakistan and India since both are not on too good terms. It would depend on whether it considers Afghanistan or China a bigger issue. It might be able to find a workaround and engage both the countries.

While everyone claims that they don’t care and would like to be free from the clutches and vagaries of any truck with US but I have a doubt that Pakistan would remain aloof if a hand is extended by the US. Nothing wrong in that due to reasons stated in the first para above.

Sadly a lot of FMs see everything with hatred filled glasses when India appears in the view. So India becomes a bitch when it has anything going on with any country in the world but Pakistan and China combo never make any mistake.

If Biden administration sidelines Pakistan then it would be “oh we ourselves never wanted to have anything with the US because they use and throw”. If Biden says aa jao bhai dosti karte hain then it would be “ See we have sidelined India by our superior diplomacy”.

Most of the power Israeli lobby has is not derived from Jewish-Americans though, but by evangelicals that are a huge voting bloc for the republicans. On top of that, Indians are disproportionately on H1B and thus can't vote in the US.

Yeah, I agree money plays a big role. In terms of spending money the Indian lobby is as powerful as any. It will be interesting to see where this leads to in the future. India has not been able to buy much for the lobbying it has done, but that can always change in the future. At the moment they can generally get a couple of people in the congress to do their bidding, but those people in the congress largely get ignored. It'll be interesting to see where this goes in the next few years.

My understandings from the US POV:
  • Pak has started to “re-invent” herself; thus, she is increasingly evaluating her unique value in near and far regions in terms of HISTORY
  • The Pak Deep Nation and State are getting aligned. Traitor domestic proxies are increasingly losing values
  • The Pak-China alliance has started to show dangerous ramifications for the US interests
  • The Indian terrorists are nowhere to decisively deter any of Pak moves, rather they themselves are getting exponentially cornered
  • Losing Pak is no option, so negotiation is possibly the only way forward via optimizing the “giving” and “taking”
