The U.S. and Pakistan are committed to working together for the betterment of the region. We are two independent partner nations that have overcome many obstacles and challenges in our decade long partnership. These meetings between our senior leadership allow us to address our shared concerns in the region, and prevent any issues from arising. It is no secret that the terrorists have repeatedly spoken against our alliance, but we greatly value the importance of maintaining a healthy working relationship between our nations. We have no reason but to remain optimistic in regard to the future of our relationship. We certainly hope to see our officials meet regularly for the betterment of the region.
