Financial independence is real independence. If you have ever been broke you will know. When your begging countries for money to survive you look funny when you have one hand stretched out begging and other showing muscles.

To my eyes Bangla is more sovereign than Pakistan in substance. If anything Pakistan is the puppet which lives by surviving on baksheesh from Saudia, China or USA. If surviving on the doleouts of others is not the definition of a puppet I don't know what is.

Bangla is evidence of much. It proves the fallacy of Two Nation [espoused by many Pakistani's] and One Nation Theory [espoused by many Indians]. To the Indians it is reminder that South Asia is and never was one entity prior to British conquest. To Pakistani's it is reminder that 'Muslims' is NOT a nation but many nations.

Furthermore the model Bangla has followed has been proven as successful. Whereas the one followed by Pakistan disasterous. Bangla does not need to build fences around Chittagong to secure foreign investment. Bangla does not have 'hidden hands' running rampant up it's a*ss and tearing it apart with bombs etc. Bangla does not have some illiterate prayer leader bringing it's capital to gridlock and then it's generals dish rupee notes in craven submission of authority. The list can go on.

Unfotunately most Pakistani's refuse to see Bangla's success because that exposes their own gross failure. Bangla is indeed racing ahead not of Pakistan only but India as well. I despise the Banglas for 1971 but respect them for the success they have achieved and will do.

Bangladesh labour force perticipation rate is bigger than Pakistan and the trend is expected to continue in 2030, according to ILO estimation. However, output per worker is lower than Pakistan, although the increasing trend is faster in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh surpassed Pakistan in life expectancy and infant mortality rate around three decades ago. However, maternal mortality ratio is still higher in Bangladesh. Till 2017, the country was closing the gap and soon Bangladesh may outperform Pakistan in this indicator too.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh have higher average years of schooling. Moreover, income distribution is relatively equal in Bangladesh.

There are 130 countries doing better than Pakistan economically. Why focus on bangladesh doing better? What about the other 129 countries? Also, Argentina has more than 5× Pakistan's debt yet their living standard is that of European standards so what's the point?
