Since 2010, Pakistan has showed interest to purchase wheeled self-propelled howitzer as the SH-1. The Pakistan Army would like to standardize its artillery capability to 155 mm. Pakistan army will procure a range of light, medium and heavy towed and self-propelled howitzer artillery from China and Turkey to replace all non-155 mm and older systems.
According to some Internet sources, the Chinese-made SH-1 155mm 52-calibre self-propelled howitzer underwent extensive trials in Thar Desert and Northern Areas of Pakistan
.

The main armament of the SH-1 consists of an 155-mm / L52 howitzer mounted at the rear of 6x6 truck chassis. It is compatible with all standard 155-mm NATO ammunition, as well as ammunition developed by NORINCO.

The SH1 is equipped with a computerised fire-control system, with a muzzle velocity sensor which feed the data directly to the fire-control computer.

Yea? What is the latest development?

By the way, great stuff happening between Turkey-Pakistan
CNS has stated that we are going to build 'warships' with Turkey. I think he couldn't be talking about the fleet tanker we are currently building with Turkey. Pakistan's economy is recovering and there has been keen interest from Pakistan in both Milgem and TF-2000 program. Ideally i would say Pakistan should join both programs since not only they are related in development but also have extremely good interoperability. Having common weapons also give us the capability to fight a conflict together, which is likely since Pakistan or Turkey will not be eating peanuts if either nation is attacked.

You might not like to hear this - but Turkey isn't coming to Pakistan's aid if there is a war against either India or US.

Beyond these the only major country which might wage war is - Iran.

Yes, as did Indonesia back then. I consistently maintain that Pakistanis are stuck in the past unwilling to face realities of today.

Go and ask if Indonesia or Turkey would even give a single bullet today in a war with India.

I don't doubt that Pakistanis would be all eager to go to any Muslim country's war, but know that no one would be coming for you.
