Turkey is interested in selling defense equipment in Bangladesh as well as investing in large-scale projects. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is visiting Dhaka, discussed the issue with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AK Momen on Wednesday.

Mevlut Cavusoglu told reporters after a meeting with Foreign Minister Abdul Momen this afternoon. AK Abdul Momen said, “We are interested in enhancing trade, COVID-19, multilateral relations with Turkey. We are ready to work with Turkey.

The new building of the Bangladesh Embassy in Ankara was inaugurated last September and the new Turkish Embassy in Dhaka will be inaugurated in Dhaka today, he said. The two foreign ministers will inaugurate the new embassy in Baridhara this afternoon.

Abdul Momen said busts of Bangabandhu and Kamal Ataturk will be unveiled in the two countries at a time convenient for all.
Mevlut Cavusoglu said Bangladesh is now the rising sun of South Asia under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. And Bangladesh is a model for all countries today. Bangladesh is an important partner of Turkey among the countries of Asia and Europe.

The Turkish Foreign Minister said Bangladesh has huge investment opportunities in various sectors including health and defense. The issue has been discussed with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen.

"We have set a target of $2 billion for our trade in the near future, up from about $1 billion last year," said Mevlut Cavusoglu. Bangladesh is currently undertaking various large projects. Turkish construction companies are one of the best in the world and Turkey is second only to China. We are interested in working together in this sector.

Regarding cooperation in the defense sector, the Turkish Foreign Minister said, "The quality of Turkish defense products is very good, the prices are very affordable and no conditions are imposed on buying them. I am sure Bangladesh will take advantage of these facilities.

"We do not make everything, but we produce more than 75 percent," he said, referring to Turkey's willingness to transfer technology and co-produce in the defense sector. This is because before, when the problem was going on, our friends did not supply our defense equipment and for that we produce most of the products ourselves.

"We are jointly producing products with a number of countries," he said, adding that Turkey had invested heavily in the sector.

Stating that Bangladesh will continue its cooperation on the Rohingya issue, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that the international community is not doing enough in this regard. "We don't just want to hear it, we want to see its reflection in action," he added.

Asked about the relocation of Rohingyas to Bhasanchar, Mevlut Cavusoglu said Bangladesh should coordinate with the United Nations and various agencies, including the IOM and UNHCR.

Very good development and we need to accept this offer. This will bring us double benefits of getting good weapons from a reliable friendly nation at an affordable price and also getting involved in defence projects and getting the ToTs. We should not be thinking twice as we already have purchased multiple defence equipments from them. Need to diversify our basket.

I dont think TFX or whatever will be able to match the might of the newly-added PT6 and K-8s. :bounce:

After all, BAF = Bishal Akromonkari Force
BAF is ahead of the curve. Fifth generation stealth technology is already obsolete.

Sixth generation aerial warfare is all about visibility and presence. BAF's strategy is to create an aerial blockade with noisy trainers and outnumber the enemy missiles.

The psychological trauma will force enemy pilots to eject.

Actually, when an enemy in F-16 or Rafale will see a yellow-colored, newly designed PT6 flying towards it.. the horror of the view will shock will freeze their fingers and minds for few secs and that's all we need to use our FM-90s in the ground to take it out. :flame:

You see, you dont even have to send the other fighters in the sky. Save fuel, save climate.

After all, BAF = Beshi Anondo-dankari Force

কূটনৈতিক সূত্রে জানা গেছে, তুরস্ক এখন বাংলাদেশে যুদ্ধে ব্যবহৃত হেলিকপ্টার ও ট্যাংক বিক্রি করতে চাইছে।
