in 2013 Turkey had $865 billlion of GDP Nominal

and in 2013 the US has started attacking Turkey and Turkish Economy , Turkish currency dropped by 320% between 2013 and 2018

1 USD has risen to 5,8 Turkish Lira from 1,8 between 2013 and 2019
if not , Turkey would have minimum $1,5 trillion of GDP Nominal now

Turkey has $2,4 trillion of GDP PPP ( 13th biggest GDP PPP in the world after Italy )

As long as you can manage inflation, it is not a bad thing that the value of the Turkish lira decreases. We still have many shortcomings in industrial and financial terms, so it is very difficult to pass this process with valuable Turkish lira.

Did it affect normal Turkey people's life a lot when Lira depreciated that much?
I meant life quality.

Spot on
When you make this argument that the "developed" countries became "developed" due to colonisation, you get so much BS from people . arguments like "oh that was past". People think that westeners are superior somehow without realising that western countries have invaded so many countries and plundered them.

We still have many shortcomings in industrial and financial terms
We have big problems such as the US - Israel and their terrorist organizations PKK , FETO also CHP , HDP

31.12.2005 1USD = 1,3 TL
28. 05.2013 1 USD = 1,8 TL

but 1 USD has risen to 5,8 Turkish Lira from 1,8 between 2013 and 2019 .... because of

GEZI Park protests in 2013
Judical and military coup attempt by FETO in 2013 and 2016
Big Pkk terror rebellion in 22 cities between 2015 and 2016
14 terror atttacks by ISIS in Turkey between 2015 and 2017
TRUMP's economic attack on Turkey in 2018

Minus 320 percent?
If I have one dollar, and I lost 100 percent, that my wealth is zero.
How is the math I wonder.
One side note, I find Turkish people speak extremely well in Deutsch (German), nearly fluent accent free. Not bad.

I meant life quality.
after TRUMP's economic attack on Turkey in 2018 , 1 USD has risen to 7,2 Turkish Lira from 3,9 TL in a few months and everything fcked up in Turkey

I have a house in Turkey 1.500.000 TL ( $384.000 ) when 1 USD was 3,9 TL as of 31.05.2018

but now 1 USD is 5,8 TL so My house costs still 1.500.000 TL ( $258.000 )

I lost $126.000 between 31.05.2018 and 31.12.2019

Teacher salary in Turkey

in 2018 3.844 TL ( $985 ) when 1 USD was 3,9 TL
in 2020 4.409 TL ( $760 ) because of 1 USD = 5,8 TL

what about a Turkish teacher to paid $2000 for traveling to the US ?

only one example
Automobile and light commercial vehicle sales in Turkey

in 2017 , 956.194 units
in 2018 , 620.937 units
in 2019 , 479.060 units

even Car prices are so high in Turkey ..... because of high taxes
for example 2019 BMW 520 is €86.000 in Turkey
on the other hand 2019 BMW 520 is €47.000 in Germany

2020 Ferrari 812 is €846.000 in Turkey
on the other hand Ferrari 812 is €569.000 in Germany

There is no "if", Trump merely did anything, so you should start to think why your economy was so vulnerable.

Thanks for sharing it.
I wonder though daily life won't be affected much? Since you don't exchange USD unless you want to travel abroad.

not only Turkey , but also Russia

Russia annexed Crimea in 2014
and 1 USD has risen to 68 ruble from 36 ruble between 18.03.2014 and 16.12.2014

the US use DOLLARS as a Weapon
