Chinese have been attacked in Pakistan as well. I don't understand. They are only here to do business and help the economies of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Why would they be attacked and killed (luckily not this time) for that. This is self defeating. The Chinese will simply pack up and leave if their security cannot be ensured.

Addendum: I am hearing ISIS has claimed responsibility.

The Chinese may just want to hack all the ID Databases of all the regional countries (keep a copy of each database) and run the faces off the miscreants through the systems to ID the perpetrators.

Then go have a nice long chat with the government of the perpetrators. In recent years, most countries have a comprehensive national ID database.
