What's new

The Taliban "mullah" government is much more competent than Pakistan's government. How?

It wasn't directed at you bro, I tagged many people - it's just meant to emphasise how weak our institutions have become and basically useless.

Even Afghanistan's institutions are more powerful

@epebble See...
Oh, my bad.
Yeah, also at the US embassy in Islamabad Afghans literally get higher priority lol

The Talib govt is also doing well on the economic front. The Afghani is now equal to 3 PKR.
That is not a very rational observation. Afghan money is so thinly traded due to all the restrictions (the government is not even recognized by any country in the world), that a meaningful exchange rate does not exist. Anyway, PKR is in such a whirlwind of crisis that comparing Afghani with PKR is at best a faint praise. But I will grant you this: If Pakistan's economic train wreck continues on the same glide path through 2023 and may be 2024 (not unlikely), 2024 may see Afghanistan at a higher per capita GDP PPP than Pakistan. Once economic depressions start, they feed on themselves.

But you want your daughters to be raped and killed by the likes of Zahir Jaffars?

Or maybe maybe there is a Zahir Jaffar hidden inside you who doesn't want to implement rule of law for his own convenience?
You're a sick mind. I want my daughters to get educated whether they want a job or not. Imagine a country with no female doctors.

Pakistan is economically doomed, I'm moving out soon in six months after I complete my assignment here with my company.

The majority of Afghans are below average. Never seen any Afghans in the top positions. Not even a doctor or engineer around me. ...one only one .... non... believe me ...seriously. But mostly involved in illegal activities..
It's all relative, Indians and Iranians, two of our neighbors can make a similar argument about Pakistanis...

As for Afghans in top positions, the dearth is of similar ratio as Pakistanis. How many fortune 500 CEO's do you know that are from Pakistan? Even Bangladeshis have eclipsed us.

I would rather leave Pakistan than have such a government like Taliban. I wouldn't want my daughters to face such cruel future.
Yeah some of their rules are not Islamic and heavily influenced by their tribal culture - that part I'd agree with

There should at the very least be specicialised areas of education for women which they are required in for daily life

Why is it that the diehard liberal/secular people from Pakistan are the most bigoted and ethnocentric xenophobes...
Liberals from Pakistan are cheap copies and wannabes of the white man, so of course they will parrot the same beliefs as the white man has towards the same people.

But at the same time they might copy the saviour complex trope and become their personal slave and "voice"

What's ironic is - it is the opposite in Afghanistan, the liberal/seculars are less likely to feel that way towards Pakistan/is, and it's the average/right-wing nationalist folk who are bigoted and ethnocentric xenophobes.

But generally every Afghan hates Pakistanis and Pakistan tbf, to a genocidal level

You have to consider their population size, it's not the same as Pakistanis or Indians plus they are probably quite recent migrants.

But this is besides the point

No they aren't
Afghanistan's economy is going to shit. Their intellectual base is leaving due to repression. Their women folk are not being allowed to study so within a decade you'll see female doctors within Afghanistan disappear, leaving Afghan women without a method to get medical help. Roads aren't being built, hospitals are being staffed on a volunteer basis and are doomed to stop functioning.

Afghanistan's national budget was half a billion dollars. That's was development, defense, Healthcare, education...etc.

Afghanistan is fucked in the long term.

You can't just dismiss all of this by simply saying "no, they aren't".

This is a side effect of the government taking power - the perks of the Americans disappeared.

But I would agree with the women aspect - at the very least education should be open for avenues where women are required in every day life.

But they are building roads, initiating development projects and even started anti-narcotic organisations.

They just don't have much funding.

Honestly I hate Afghanistan but their governance skills are 1000x better than gernails.

They're building streets, not roads. There's a difference. There are no real development projects in Afghanistan.

The fact that they don't have funding is more proof that Afghanistan is getting worse. This isn't a symptom of new government, it's a symptom of incompetence, considering the world literally gave them a way to get more funding.

They don't have governing skills, they have discipline, and even that's questionable at best.

Well, they built this from scraps and leftovers, so given open communications and supply chains, i think that they will exceed everybody expectations.

And why Islamists like you are a treacherous bunch who have a zero regard for the fellow citizens killed by afghans. I call spade a spade.
