China will surely dominant USA one day but right now it is USA. You are a new super power still rising. USA is a mature and experienced super power , participated in many wars in recent time. And if you look at the weapons poses by USA , those are far dangerous than China has. Thats the difference.
I m not side of USA. I really wish we Asian dominant the west one day in real.

Dream on,the US navy is the strongest military power on the planet and will stay that way for a long time, even if China matches the quantity,it can never match the quality.
A brain washed turk, who knows nothing about China matters and take western dominance for last 200 years as forever, who does not understand the big picture and trend, but to comment on China affairs

Oh My God, Not this article again.

Some one had already posted this article by Ross some months ago, the "Chinese have more quantity than US Navy" is BS, notice Ross only counted US Commissioned Ship (with USS prefix), and only counted Active. But not non-commissioned ship or in active reserve. On the Other hand Ross counted EVERY SHIP the PLAN have in their inventory. The disparity existed only in Ross's mind.

First of all, PLAN counted every ship they own as PLAN ship, I mean PLAN does not have an supporting arms, which mean every submarine tender, replenishment ship and even 4000 tons landing craft as PLAN ship, that make up the 350 ship number.

On the other hand, US Navy have a separate Military Sealift Command, which mean all the supporting vessel would have a prefix of USNS, and would not be counted toward US Navy Ship.

For example, this ship would not be counted as US Navy ship, but ship of same type would counted toward PLAN

On the other hand, US Navy Ready Reserve/Inactive Reserve fleet (Or mothball fleet) have around 260 ship that can be deployed into active service within 3 months to 1 years, depending on category. Those ship aren't exactly outdated either, you are talking about 2 Tawara Class LPD, USS Kitty Hawk, and assorted 1980s Frigate and Destroyer.....Those are of equal status of the older service warship within PLAN.

So, if you counted all those, you are looking at US Navy with a force of around 800 ships.

Repost like this article -- is not for serious discussion but to make the anti-US crowd feel good.
