Marketing is all about creating association with positive attributes. By doing this again, again and again the brand name conjures a positive response is the goal of marketing. You see that everyday around you in advertisement platforms. Cars, cloths, real estate, food the goal is same.

The problem with Pakistan is it never is associated with anything positive. Even Pakistani's will peddle our food as desi, our music as Indian, our fashion as Asian and our history as Muslim. The result is all of positive attributes Pakistan has to offer will be associated with everything but Pakistan. So gross result is Pakistan has a score of zero.

On the other hand Pakistan is ALWAYS is associated with negative things that leave a bad impression. Terrorism, extremism, killing, poverty, failed , dangerous are the words that often are used when Pakistan is mentioned. The result is Pakistan has minus score. The final product of this is Brand Pakistan has terrible image.

The Finance Division had proposed that exporters may be allowed to remit up to 10pc of their average annual export earnings of the last three calendar years or $100,000, whichever is higher, during a calendar year to establish subsidiaries/branch offices abroad without prior approval of the SBP
