Stubborn people and dont want to make any compromize, why dont let people to decide instead of keep trying to solve differences through war which is against many verses in Quran

Killing one Muslim will be punished with hell, while making compromize is endorsed in Quran, this Taliban is the one who dont understand Quran
Why you think talibs are so strong? People are supporting them. So it's people's will, and world should respect it.

LOL if they are so popular so they will not be afraid with democracy which is actually another form of syura that is endorsed in Quran as a way to solve differences in any government.

LOL Why do you say I am against Islam ??? There is nothing wrong with Islam version of current Afghanistan government, I think it is even closer to actual Islam.

Why do we have to keep doing war over small thing like imposing Burqa to women and others while Islam itself doesnt said so

Democracy is our own creation, we are free to make our own democracy. Indonesia for instant doesnt have powerful senators like USA, in here only parliament (congress in USA) has the power.

We also have MPR which is higher than parliament but half of the members are parliaments while others are civiliant leaders. MPR is there to change or reform constitution

We have multiple parties, dont like US with two strong parties

Our President term is 5 years, not like USA with 4 years

See, why should we follow the West, we can make our own creation. Indonesia political system is Presidential, unlike Dutch which is parliamentary

The main essence of democracy is solving dispute through non violence once and use debate, consultation, and votes instead of using military means. It is inline with what Allah suggested in Quran surah As-Syura verse 38 that I have posted above

--------------------------------------------

Democracy is an old concept, in ancient time, before any political entity become too large, they will usually implement some sort of democracy, even Quraish tribe before prophet Muhammad get born dont have any king. Usually they solve the dispute through consultation as well like famous event when prophet Muhammad become the person who are trusted to carry Hajar Aswad during the repair of Ka'bah

---------------------------------------------

System evolves as the nation get bigger and modernity can make democracy efficient enough to become a political system of a nation

If you want to do something exactly like happening during early Islam, you should go to war using swords instead of rifle and use Camel instead of tanks or military trucks

The one that has issue with Taliban is their other opponent in their own country which is current Afghan government. I am here to provide solution so they dont need to kill each other to solve their disputes

Nope, USA under Obama welcome and support Mursi, it is their secular nationalist and Christian who want to throw Mursi after he won a fair election and their military take advantage of that, similar like what has happened in Thailand between Red and Yellow shirt

The Taliban said Sunday they remain committed to peace talks but insisted a "genuine Islamic system" in Afghanistan was the only way to end the war and ensure rights -- including for women.

Talks between the militants and the Afghan government have been deadlocked for months and violence has surged across the country since May when the US military began its final withdrawal.

Fears are also growing that if the Taliban return to power they will reimpose their harsh version of Islamic law, under which girls were banned from school and women accused of crimes such as adultery were stoned to death in stadiums.

Despite the rise in violence, Taliban co-founder and deputy leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar said Sunday that the group was committed to the peace talks.

"Our very participation in the negotiations... indicates openly that we believe in resolving issues through (mutual) understanding," Baradar said in a statement.

He said the only way to end the conflict in Afghanistan was to establish an Islamic system after the departure of all foreign forces.

"A genuine Islamic system is the best mean for solution of all issues of the Afghans," Baradar said.

His statement acknowledged the fears in Afghanistan and abroad about the kind of system that would emerge -- and its impact on women -- saying that fell "within the ambit of the intra-Afghan negotiations".

Baradar also assured that the rights of all Afghans including women would be accommodated in that system, according to "the glorious religion of Islam" and Afghan traditions.

- 'Taliban destroying Afghanistan' -

But many fear that the Taliban's interpretation of rights will clash with the changes that have happened in Afghan society since 2001.

In May, a US intelligence report said the gains made over the past two decades on women's rights would be rolled back if the militants returned to power.

As the US military presses ahead to meet the September 11 deadline to complete the troop withdrawal, the Taliban have fought daily battles with government forces and claim to have captured 40 districts.

The growing fear and uncertainty about the future have forced many Afghans to try and leave, including thousands of men and women who fear reprisals because they worked with foreign forces.

Baradar called on Afghan youths to not leave the country, and also stressed that the Taliban would ensure that minorities, humanitarian organisations and diplomats had nothing to fear.

The recent losses faced by government troops have forced President Ashraf Ghani to change his defence and interior ministers.

On Saturday, he announced the changes and called on the Taliban to make a choice between peace and enmity with the government.

"If they choose enmity then the people will respond to them decisively," he said late on Saturday in a statement issued by the palace.

Ghani blamed the Taliban for starting the war and accused them of failing to come up with a plan to establish peace.

"As officials of a legitimate government, we are committed to all the humanitarian laws in the war, but the Taliban are violating these laws and are destroying Afghanistan," he said.

i'm way too tired at the moment to reply in detail on this important topic, i'll do so later today or tomorrow at the latest,

but i do think (at the moment) that the Taliban are still mistaken when they think they can hammer out a deal that unites the laws that moderate Afghans live under with those who are born in areas that are native to the Taliban and thus more fundamentalist.

Saying Taliban Islam as fundamentalist is wrong, if you want to talk about fundamentalist Islam, here you should read Quran,

This is Fundamentalist Islam, not Taliban or Saudi/Iran version

How come Taliban is fundamentalist Islam where they dont abide with Quran verses like this :

Quran, As Syura verse 38

"And they respond to their Lord and keep up the Prayer. And they gather amongst each other to conduct their affairs by mutual consultation. And they spend out of what We have given them as sustenance."

Instead they prefer to have war with other Muslim to solve dispute between them where it is also forbidden and cursed

YouTube Vice isn't an authority on anything
They aren't, but they interviewed the Afghan Taliban leaders. They or AJ, i don't remember, very recent, 5 minute video. You can look it up.
erm...the people HAVE decided! why do you think the taliban are so popular and gaining strength? you think Martians are reinforcing their ranks? they are fast gaining popularity especially among the poor women because under the Taliban, they are guaranteed protection from all forms of abuse while under the ghani regime, they are at constant risk of being abused & molested for money only because they are poor. There's a reason why they are so popular. but if you just have something against Islam itself then that's a problem you gotta deal with on your own. pretty obvious the Afghans have made up their minds.
If they're really so popular, they won't fear a democratic system. What they want is a theocratic state.

Why you think talibs are so strong? People are supporting them. So it's people's will, and world should respect it.
People are supporting them because people are not educated there....so they cannot comprehend what they support....it's easy to brainwash such people.

And there is no uniform stand of the world ... countries based on their agenda decide what they should and shouldn't respect ... Does China respected people's will in Hongkong? Israel in Gaza?, India in Kashmir? Did Pakistan respected people's will in 1971 elections?

Naive people in this thread talking about 'it's their country let them run it how they like' seem to forget that Taliban was in charge for 5 years previously- and they ruined their country and their neighbours lives.

If Taliban makes Afghanistan a safe haven for the world's nutcases again. Then the biggest cost will be to the Pakistanis.

Because Afghanistan was a miniskirt paradise before that, right? I remember how the Tallibunnies stopped the Afghan space program in 1996! In countries like Afghanistan you need an iron fist, you cannot treat Afghans with feminist dance therapy, they need stability.

If Taliban makes Afghanistan a safe haven for the world's nutcases again. Then the biggest cost will be to the Pakistanis.
Pakistan needs to control them better then. But it's most important for the geopolitical security of Pakistan to have a friendly government in Kabul, A-stan is for too long used as base for Anti-Pakistan activities.
