Serbian steel plant thrives after Chinese takeover
Kind of wonder how Chinese companies can turn a moribund factory which had lost money for almost a decade into a huge money making enterprise just in couples of months, it's like a miracle touch..

Average salary in this steel plant is 73k Serbian dinars ( about 720 $), and Serbia are one of cheapest countries in Europe.

1000$ salary in Serbia is close to 2.000 - 2.500 $ salary in Central Europe.

Compared to other Balkan or other Ex Yugo states Serbia is doing pretty well in their economy getting investments from China,EU,Russia,Turkey,GCC states etc might become a Balkan powerhouse the fact Turkish Serbian relations are better than expected should send warning signals to the Albanians in Kosovo and in policy makers based in Tirana

Slovenia is ahead of Serbia in every aspect. They are probably most pleasant place for living in entire EU.

Croatia is better too, but they have each year 10 billions of $ just from tourism. And they prices are 30-50% higher.

Problem with Serbia is crony nature of our economy and lack of "fair play" privatization.
We need enterpreneurs not a tycoons and oligarchs.

The revenue of this stleel plant now almost accounts for 1% of Serbia's GDP, and it is also the second biggest exporter in the country, must be a very big enterprise.

Slovenia and Croatia are both full members of the EU plus Slovenia was always wealthy in Yugo times what I was referring to the other Balkan and Yugo states like Bosnia,Macedonia well North now,Montenegro,Kosovo, and Albania

You got that right.

Biggest adventage for Serbia, is Belgrade (some would say biggest disadventage too).
Any regional successful actor, singer, artist, sportsman... goes to the Belgrade. It is only alpha city in the ExYu + Albania region. And city with most opportunities.
Other cities in Serbia, maybe besides Novi Sad are irrelevant. But it is our problem with centralization or better to say, failed reforms for decentralization of our country.

However Some Serbs dislike Belgrade for Being too liberal and dislike of the Vucic government

How do you know so much about Serbian politics and social life? You are very well informed.
I have a few Serbian,Bosnian and Albanian friends irl and online tbh it was really those old Yugo war songs like Remove Kebab and Roki Vulovic songs that peaked my interests and the 90s wars in the region plus the Balkans is a unique region of Europe close to the Occidental and Oriental points of the world but I. the middle it has a melancholy history I could tell you that plus I would visit some day

Learn Serbo Croatian, and try to enroll as US diplomat in Balkans. It would be a dream life. :D

The main problem is that you are landlocked, you shouldn't have let Crna gora to split away. People like Ilija Garasanin, Stoyan Novakovic and Milosh Miloevic are probably turning in their graves seeing what happened with you...
