Actually No!!! he killed many christians and enslaved them. There was no concept of the entire country of India in those days , at least not the way India is today.Sorry to say you Indian are really thankless people, in fact he was fighting for the freedom of all people of India, for the freedom of every Muslim, every hindu , in fact for every slave Indian . . .
Actually you Indians people are unfamiliar with the meaning of secularism. Does secularism mean depriving minority religions of their religious, economic and social rights? Is the ongoing Indian state terrorism in Kashmir a manifestation of a secular state? World knows , not only Muslims but also Christians and Sikhs in India are suffering at the hands of Hindutva extremists.
Tipu was undoubtedly a great soldier and was good for HIS kingdom and any wars he fought was for himself and his lands. Neither was there hindu extremism in those times.
