Can you give us any data about Saudi Air Defence etc? As far as I know, ALL Saudi radars are of American origin...Moreover, Saudi AWACs are also E-3 Sentry which are American.

When did that happen? Any source?

No, 90 billion increased RSAF's capabilities...it is just that those capabilities can't be used against Israel effectively. In case of conflict, Americans will do everything they can to give Israelis an edge.. And giving every detail about American-made equipment to Israel would be the first step.

Americans will tell Israelis what kind of radars Saudis have and how to evade them/jam them effectively etc.

Saudis need to start building their own military machine by joint-ventures with Turkey, China, Pakistan, or even India etc.

That is all based on what you would like to believe . Is there a shred of evidence to support your claims?

Well, you don't need any evidence to realize that if there is a conflict, Americans will do EVERYTHING to give Israel an edge. Right?

Then what makes you think that they won't share every detail of American-equipment in possession of KSA to make it easier for Israelis to plan counter strikes/jamming and etc.

American congress has official policy of "QME" for Israel. Take a hint....

I do know the narrative but your narrative has to be supported by hard facts to be taken seriously.

    @Aeronaut @Arabian Legend @Yzd Khalifa @al-Hasani@Hyperion

Hey gentlemen, one serious thing I was thinking about...

Saudi Arabia spends $56billion as defence budget...but where?!

Saudi Arabia has barely a thousand tanks (Countries like Pakistan/Israel have near 4000), around just 300 modern aircrafts, ZERO submarines, no destroyer, a small army (233,000, 25000 reserves), no ballistic missile force (let alone nuclear program), and so on.

Then how come Saudi budget is SO huge?

With this budget, Saudi Arabia should have been the absolutely dominant power of Arabia-Levant-North Africa region. Absolutely dominant military power! But Saudi Arabia is no way near that. Why?

    Whats the catch?

Look at Indian Armed Forces....MASSIVE military machine of 1.3 million (almost 5x the size of Saudi military), very well-equipped (hundreds of Su-30MKIs, getting Rafaels, Mig-29Ks and so on), armed with thousands of tanks, many submarines, aircraft carriers, ballistic missile program, nuclear program, anti-ballistic missile program, and many more things..

But the budget of such massive hyper-size military is $40 billion!

But for Saudi Arabia to have $56 billion budget...What is the great missing link here bros?

Quality over quantity my friend. Most of the budget is thrown into the Air Force which currently possess 72 Typhoons, 250+ F-15's and a little over 100 Tornado's.

While I know the Tornado's aren't exactly the most expensive of jets today (except for maintenance), those Typhoons must have cost easily $110-120 million per. Also, there aren't many weapons you can name which aren't in the arsenal of these planes. Everything from JDAMs to cruise missiles.

As far as I'm concerned, Saudi is a run by a bunch of <MOD EDIT> PLEASE REFRAIN FROM INSULTING OTHER NATIONALITIES <MOD EDIT>

But this money will only last a few short decades. Watch that defence budget dwindle over this time.

    o_O

Oh, there is absolutely no trap : High quality of materials (The best of the best), spare parts, maintenance, training tens of thousands of men (US and in KSA), technology transfer (With ToT) throughout the lifetime of the equipment :

Why don't you attack India and free Kashmir or Palestine yourself? Or help your Afghan brother's who are massacred on a daily basis? Or stop those American drone attacks from happening that are killing dozens of innocent Pakistanis?

Or just stop worrying about Arab affairs like most others here who are obsessed about the ancient Arab world.

Nobody, especially countries that do not even border Israel, are going to war against a nuclear power just because of 200 casualties partially due to the idiotic policies of Hamas and their senseless pipe rockets that only endanger Palestinian lives.

Nobody can question Arab military history. Arabs founded 3 of the 11 largest empires in human history. More than any other ethnic group. Our influence is felt all across the Muslim world on almost every parameter.

Our Arab region was the center of the world for thousands of years and home to the first civilizations on earth and also during the Islamic ages and the nearly 1000 years of Arab rule of the Caliphate during it's greatest times culturally, in terms of conquest (by far), science, architecture etc. Now we live in largely bad times but glory will return once again.

Whether foreigners (that most Arabs don't care about especially the ignorant ones) want this or not.

In short stick to the topic and quit trolling. Nobody cares. Go pollute another section of the forum.

Oh, we know Islamic history very well as none other than the Arabs formed and shaped it more or ruled the Islamic world longer. By far. Especially in terms of military conquests and the spread of Islam.

    Thank you very much.

Regarding your comment about leaders then don't throw stones when you live in a glass house. That goes for ALL Muslim leaders.

RSAF is undoubtedly one of the strongest air forces out there and how and when it should be used is the sole decision of KSA and not foreigners. Not even other fellow Arabs.

RSAF serves KSA. That's its primary task. To protect KSA and it's people.

KSA is not going to risk years of progress (especially since 2005) just to enter a devastating war against a nuclear power that would have big consequences for KSA economically, politically, militarily (potentially) etc. Especially not when no other Muslim country is doing anything.

Nobody but the Israelis and Palestinians will solve their problems. It's after all their problems.

    Now stick to the topic.

    @Arabian Legend @JUBA @Yzd Khalifa @Full Moon @Hadbani @BLACKEAGLE etc.
