PESHAWAR: The Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated a special fund of Rs 200 million for the welfare of transgender community, Special Assistant on Information Mushtaq Ghani said on Tuesday.

200 million is nothing for the whole community. It's just 2 million dollars :( but it is a nice gesture of intent by the government

PS: Transgenders earns a lot of money on dancing when the new baby is born. There is one transgender (he actually wasn't a transgender as he has a daughter but after his wife deceived him he cut off his holy part and became a transgender later only to repent)... he was sitting in our house when my brother's baby was born and after talking to him for a while he revealed he had at least 2 properties in my area alone and some other assets outside. All that he earned after dancing and celebrating on the weddings and when the baby is born.

So I think money is not such a big issue for this community, it is the lack of respect and status in the society

Its first time in Pakistan. Transgenders never received anything from Pak or its provinces before. I feel its a good gesture and maybe it will be spent on community projects for transgenders.
