well, it would be somewhere in between 100 million and 1 billion.
There would be millions killed in strikes, but many many more millions would die slowly due to the effects of the nuclear blasts and food shortages etc.

More hot air from some sensationalist researchers, pakistans imaran khan has accepted in his statements that Pakistan cannot fight both the conventional or nuclear war with India. Nothing is going to happen.

That is something beyond your capabilities. The real world is not PDF where you can nuke India a million times.

And the biggest , you came at night , we came at dawn . Bombed you , blown you out of air to smithereens . Need some more work done , visit anytime . Can't promise tea all the time though .

It could be because they weren't all tested at the same time?

Well it was always there until the last 10 years when Corrupt NS andAZ were ruling the country and military was engaged in the cleansing of RAW/NDA sponsored terrorists on the western front.

As the other argument, its not your bravado that has increased in the past decade or so rather its all an illusion created by your Fake media. The events on 27th feb should have been enough to bring you guys back to reality but it will take some time.

Oh, wait! Was it your army who saw the Yetis in the Himalayas? Well, the world laughs on each and every claim of yours.

WOW! you guys have been really been fed some fantasy stories about the 'mighty PAF' and 'FEB 27'...is it in the same lines of 'declared victories' during the 1971 war?

Interesting questions. These tests were conducted in isolated geographic locations & only a few devices would be tested per series-of-tests. None of the test were conducted in or near populated or irrigated areas so no impact was immediately reported. Plus wind factors were always taken into consideration. AND surprisingly the nuclear scientists actually did not have the idea of radioactive fallout in the early years. When they starting falling victims to cancer did they realize what was going on. Oppenheimer even stood on the Trinity test ground after the test and chatted.

Most test sites still remain inaccessible to independent scientists to record the environmental damage. But to say they did not do any significant environmental damage would be wrong. Even Chernobyl did damage. Government reports on fallout have seldom been made public. The Soviets, in particular, would never publicize their tests except the information required for the strategic signaling. They still haven't made the Chernobyl findings completely public. Instead of releasing the data the superpowers decided to just limit their nuclear testing to underground and to a limited yield. But later unilaterally decided to halt all testings. CTBT seeks to ban all sorts of testing.

The independent scientific analysis, however, did take into consideration the yields of the tests and not just warned of radioactive fallout but also of the possibility that the continued nuclear tests could force the earth to skid off its axis (before India and Pakistan almost all nuclear weapons tests took place in the Northern Hemisphere). & who knows, the rise of cancer we see in the world today might actually be because of these tests?

The use of nuclear weapons against a densley populated area would have a significantly different and lethal impact then these tests. India and Pakistan collectively are the most populated region in the world. Plus both contribute significantly to the global food industry. States like BD & Sri Lanka would-be victims of collateral nuclear damage and they too are global contributors. When the monsoon winds come in the radiation would be carried to the far reaches of East Asia. We might be looking at global famine.

i dont think there is going to be a war between india and pakistan. pak wont do anything in IOK and india wont do anything in AK. they have got what they wanted . we will see some speeches and resolutions but with no result. and if at all pak and ind go for a war there will be intense international pressure on both countries specially on pak to refrain from using nukes. we have to admit that nuclear weapons have been a great savior of the world peace sine their first use in 45. otherwise many countries would have fought many wars during this time.

I believe many countries have fought many wars since the advent of nukes, including the nuke possessing superpowers. They might not have attacked each other directly due to nukes but they did either use proxies against each other or fought each other on third-party's lands indirectly & directly, i.e. Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Cuba, etc. As they say 'when two elephants fight, the grass suffers.' With the advent of nukes, superpowers decided to cut to the chase and go straight to striking the grass.

Why there haven't been nuclear wars? After reading so much material on nuclear weapons I have realized that in the vast sea of nuclear insanity there were always these handfuls of individual sane people who prevented that from happening. Had the launch control of nukes been left with the generals like Curtis LeMay we might be seeing a different world today. Thankfully the junior officers were more calculating.

I think the smoke will be from burning cities not from the bombs themselves
