It put China, Pakistan and Greece in the lidt. Greece has like the best western air force pilots. Clearly, this channel is more of a propaganda.

Beside F-16C/D what PAF have to show this world or the enemy? If you ask they keep ranting about JFT blk-III which was ordered way back in 2012 from China and yet to fly. If you don't like it then make your own damn video.

Ignorance at height. An Air Force is not all about its tech and whatever-the-**** generation planes, its also about the pilots, the experience and competency. You know something is seriously fucked up when the video is listing Greece in it as well, Greece has the best air force pilots in the west probably, they fucking beat USA in some NATO red flag exercise by a damn score of 17-3, using F-16`s against F-35`s. Check the comments too, no one approves of it. Get your head out of your ***. PAF has an amazing past track record, and continued to show its capability in war on terror, and by the fact that even USAF wanted to hold a joint exercise with PAF. Get your head out of your ***.

Yes i agree most if our fighter jets are 30 years old we have still main jets lik ed F 16 are not compitable to fight against new indian sukhois lack the radar range to track iaf jets and we lack numbers thunder is good for light weight fights but for medium fights against mirage and rafle it stande very little chance oaf badly needed new fighter jet with better caoability remember if india choosed to buy F 16 all F 16.will be going to india time for paf to stop relying more in pilots if machine has no capability he cant play best

It like best driver driving mehran car and average driver driving lamborghini

Machine gives edge with better dricer

While i think the vid is exaggerated, its nice to see some one like you putting aside the jingoism and taking a frank look at the situation . Could you share your thoughts on what would you think is the best short term way for PAF to deal with this?

PAF should get out of over confidence abd bring balance between machine and man now paf heavily rely on pilot but forgotten importance of machine

Just take revenge by making a video saying USAF, IAF is the worst. I can bet the maker of that video is western bootlicker.

It's very obvious the maker is an indian. India looks self bragging. They love to live in fantasy.

Rankings can be subjective, and they might not conform to YOUR view of things. A large number of people subscribe to state-driven narratives and/or status-quo in terms of judgement, and this in itself is a problem. Few people can handle constructive criticism, or assess things objectively.

High quality rankings are those which take into consideration both qualitative and quantitative assessments, but who is up to the task? YOU will need to consult many aviation experts around the world and attempt to capture shortcomings of all forces in relation to the best (i.e. USAF). This is something only a professional Think Tank can manage.

Things are also subject to change over time. What might be true in 2017, might not be true in 2027.

IMO there are flaws in your reasoning here;

So what if your fighters are 30 years old? Is the age of the fighter the metric here or its internal subsystems and weapons capabilities? Those 30-year-old F-16s have data-link connectivity with AEW&C, a credible BVR, EW and precision-guided strike capabilities. That's a modern air combat package, albeit not the latest, but current and not out of date (which is the case for Iran, North Korea, etc) or outright lacking (e.g., Canada, which has big gaps).

The PAF's gaps aren't necessarily in having enough modern fighter platforms, the JF-17 has awarded the PAF with a decent solution in that regard (especially once the Block-III is ready, arguably the cheapest AESA equipped fighter in the market all things considered). The gap is in not having modern long-range assets to efficiently carry strike or maritime operations, which - as a whole - weakens the PAF's conventional deterrence posture.
