Hanif Abbasi PML(N) was convicted to serve life sentence in ephedrine case in 2018 as reported by Dawn. His lawyers managed to get a 8 week bail from court in 2021 to get medical treatment. He is still roaming freely as Lahore High Court never called home back. He is never acquitted by court, its just that court decided not to hear this case ever again.

He is now appointed a SAPM to PM while serving a life sentence, at the same time. Welcome to Purana Pakistan.
