    Q1. Your educational background ?

    MS in Economics
    MPhil in Economics
    MS in Information Technology

Q2. When and Why did you join PTI ?

I am professionally an educationist and had interest in politics. I had no political background, people of my area called me and asked me to come forward in their area. I ran a political campaign for about 18 months in PP01 (Murree and KotliSattian area) and after discussion with my elders decided to join Imran Khan (PTI) because he is the only clean politician in the country.
I joined PTI one month before emergency was declared in Pakistan by Gen Musharraf and Lawyers movement

Q3. Any interesting event which motivated you to join PTI ?

Wasn't exactly an event but since i was interested in politics and three things motivated me towards PTI:
    (1) Ideas and manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
    (2) Imran Khan was my ideal
    (3) Wanted to take a political career with a clean leadership, which was available in PTI

    Mr. Azhar Tariq

    Email: azhar_tariq@hotmail.com, sardar_atk99@hotmail.com

    Educational Background:

    - Graduate Peshawar University
    - Specialized courses - 23 years experience in Investment Banking/Leasing Co.

When and Why did I join PTI?

Founding member since party's foundation days.
Joined as I believed in Party's cause i.e. "Justice"

What do I want to do to improve PTI?

To make it into a function institution/organization where we can make contribution towards making Pakistan a welfare state, equal opportunities, justice for all.

Any interesting event which motivated me to join PTI?

When party was being formed, Mr. Imran Khan visited my house with Ashiq Qureshi and had an in depth discussion on the vision and need to bring change. Since we used to work for SKMT as volunteers, we knew against all odds Imran Khan made it a reality and established his credibility as a doer.

It was easy for all like minded to work for a common cause i.e. Bring change to make Pakistan in line with vision of Quaid e Azam "A welfare state - Justice for all"

He has done his bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from Ayub Medical College Abbottabad, Pakistan. His hard work has earned him FRCS degree from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He started off his career in UK hospitals by serving in many Plastic and Burns Units. He couldn’t resist his patriotism for long and he has decided to devote his career and himself for his nation.

He moved back to Pakistan in 2000 only to serve his nation by bringing in new technology and entrepreneurship. In Pakistan he started as Consultant Hair Transplant Surgeon from 2000 to 2005 in a private clinic. From October 2005 he resigned and ultimately started with his own Institute as Dr. Humayun’s Hair Transplant Institute.

In short duration his hard work has made him a Life Member Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgeons, Member American Association of Plastic Surgeon. He is a faculty member of Orlando Live Surgery Workshop USA as well as Faculty Member International Society of Hair Restorative Surgery USA. Again earning much recognition on national and international level in the country making him an internationally known, well written and well reputed plastic surgeon.

Embracing an excellent repute on International level, a true patriot at heart always believed in extending the medical services to all the people in Pakistan. He has been actively involved in bringing Medical Tourism to Pakistan. His idea of justice in health care system has made him join PTI about two years back, but ideologically he was always a believer in justice system. Since he does not have any political background but he believes that in order to purge the current system of non-governance, more and more professionals and people with good governing skills should be taking active part in politics.

After joining the party in 2008, he was given the task to organise and work in the health policy and identify the areas of health services and problems. In 2010 he was also assigned the task of finding the solution to these problems. By September 2010, he also took upon himself another task of organising the PTI basic party structure, by training the Regional, Provincial and Union Council Coordinators at grass root level.

He has been building up their motivational skills. He has been nominated as the secretary of International Chapter Affairs. Furthermore, he has been included a member of Central Executive Committee.

He has a proven ability to organize a health care facility and is recognized for ability to work with very diverse clients and staff. An out-going personality and quick thinker with extremely flexible ability to function under chaotic situations.

He has been actively participating in arranging press conferences, appearing for media interviews covering major cities, and corresponding with individuals and groups on behalf of PTI.

He believes in a concept of welfare system of governance where minimum essential medical services and minimum essential medics should be accessible to 100% of population, rather than what is happening today where only 26% of population enjoy that facility.

He is a hardworking professional who is willing to go to any lengths to help his country to re-establish. He has excellent communication skills and tremendous convincing power to assure others of the party’s policies, strategies and knows what stand to take in order to manifest a positive public image of his political party.

Thereafter he served in the Pakistan Navy in various capacities till his retirement in 1997. On retirement, he was appointed as Ambassador of Pakistan to Tunisia and was also accredited to PLO (Mr.Yasser Arafat). After the coup of General Pervez Musharraf, Admiral Jawaid returned to his hometown Lahore, Pakistan.

During his service in the Pakistan Navy Admiral Jawaid Iqbal served on board a number of seagoing and shore-based operational naval units including ships, submarine and Special Services Unit. He is a qualified Scuba Diver, a frogman and a Paratrooper. He is also a specialist in Torpedo and Anti- Submarine Warfare, Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Special Service Operations and Underwater Warfare.

During his career Admiral Jawaid Iqbal held a number of senior and important operational appointments, which include Commander Pakistan Fleet, Commander Karachi, Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel), Commander SSG (Navy), Director General Naval Intelligence and Director General (Training) at Joint Staff Headquarters. He was the senior Naval Advisor to the Government of Qatar from 1983 to 1986. He is a veteran of 1965 and 1971 Indo Pak Wars and a recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-e-Basalat (Military). He is a graduate of U.S Naval War College as well as of National Defence College, Pakistan where he also served on the faculty as Directing Staff (Navy).

After his return to his hometown Lahore, Admiral Jawaid joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in April 2004. Since his joining the party he has served as Chief Election Commissioner (PTI), General Secretary Punjab, President Punjab, Central Information Secretary, Additional Secretary General and Central Vice President.

Besides holding the above appointments, Vice Admiral Jawaid has been a very active worker of the Party and participated fully in the Party’s struggle for restoration of Democracy and the Chief Justice. During this period he was detained twice in Police Stations, once alongwith Imran Khan in P.S Old Anarkali, Lahore and second time in P.S Waris Khan, Rawalpindi while protesting against visit of Mr.Bush to Pakistan. When Imran Khan was detained in Dera Ghazi Khan Jail, he in his capacity as Central Information Secretary was quick to write letters to Senator Hillary Clinton, Congresswomen Nancy Pelosi and Sarah Jackson Lee informing them of his detention and criticizing their policy towards Pakistan.

He was the one who recommended that US instead of maintaining relations with Dictators should instead develop relations at people to people level, which was soon after reflected in President Obama’s new strategy towards Pakistan. During earthquake of 2005, he as Chief Co-ordinator Imran Khan Earthquake Relief Fund (Punjab) co-ordinated relief efforts of PTI by sending relief goods to affected areas.

Admiral Jawaid Iqbal is a staunch believer of Democratic culture based on Truth, Equality and Justice. He has always opposed military takeovers and is well known for his vocal and bold stance on this issue. He was not only against the Martial Law of General Zia-Ul-Haq but vehemently opposed the takeover by General Musharraf on Oct 1999.

When and why did I join PTI:

I have spent 32 years of my life with Islami Jamiat-e-Talba as Nazim-e-Alla Pakistan and Deputy Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan but role of religious parties since 1999 in the politics of Pakistan has not been positive, so I decided to leave.

The truthful stand of Chairman Imran Khan inspired me to join PTI so I joined PTI in September 2007 as Central Vice President.

What do I want to do for PTI:

I started my political career from grass root and was elected as Councilor / Nazim of local Government three times. I have served as Deputy Mayor Lahore Metropolitan Corporation for one term, I also contested as MPA and MNA from my area and served a party which is known as the most organized party in Pakistan. So my interest is to organize PTI at all levels and make it a big political party, motivate and activate in all walks of life especially youth and students.

So I conceived the idea of Insaf Student Federation and put it before CEC where it was decided that a student body should be launched under my supervision. The Insaf Students Federation has been introduced in almost all educational institutions and cities of Pakistan within last couple of months. Now our goal is to make a strong students organization.ISF shall be the vanguard and the nursery of PTI.

So , anybody has got a better idea ?? even close ?--- if no then take this opportunity to take your decision for Pakistan NOW!
