Bengaluru-based EV startup Pravaig Dynamics expects to sell around 2,500 of its newly unveiled luxury electric vehicle Extinction MK1 every year. The company has issued a statement revealing its plans to initially produce 2,500 units of the EV annual from next year.

On Friday last week, the EV startup officially unveiled the Extinction MK1 premium electric car, completely made in India, ahead of launch some time next year.

The car gets power from its 96 kHw battery which has a specific energy of 155Wh per kg. It can produce 200 hp of maximum power and a top speed of 196 kmph. It can sprint from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds. However, the range this EV offers is likely to keep a lot of other EV makers interested. Pravaig claims the Extinction MK1 can cover a distance in excess of 500 kms without stopping for a recharge.

Pravaig Dynamics is the first Indian EV maker to claim such a huge range in its first commercial offering. Volkswagen ID.3 can barely do 500 kms yet. Tesla Model 3 performance variant claims a range of 507 kms in single charge. In India, the EV with the highest range is Hyundai Kona EV with a claimed range of 452 kms. MG ZS EV, which has a range 340 kms, is still in process to upgrade to a range of 500 kms.

Pravaig also claims Extinction MK1 can replenish to about 80 per cent within 30 minutes.

The two-door, four-seater electric car will be primarily used for commercial fleets on a subscription based model. Pravaig is aiming to produce around 250 units of the Extinction MK1 every year. It will be initially sold in cities like Bengaluru and Delhi, before the EV startup adds more cities on the list.

Interesting, more on it here:

" Unfortunately, the EV is expected to be a commercial fleet-only offering with production limited to 2,500 units annually, though we hope it is made available for private buyers as well. The Extinction Mk1 is expected to launch sometime next year, in Delhi and Bengaluru. For now, Pravaig is accepting enquiries on its website."

Impressive.

just like in the space sector, here’s another sector where India will beat Pakistan.

EV & AI are great equalizers as both are relatively new technologies; but Pakistan will continue to import foreign products rather than craft a strategy to create homegrown solutions.

I can bet you it didn’t even take more than $250 million to start this company and its first products.

In the near future, even Cuba will have a better automotive industry than Pakistan. Truly despicable.

Pravaig Dynamics, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer has unveiled its latest creation, which is an EV that looks futuristic and promises a range of 500 kilometres on a single charge.

Bengaluru-based Pravaig Dynamic is the best hope that India has of going head to head with Elon Musk’s Tesla when it comes to the electric vehicle market. The Atmanirbhar Bharat clarion call by Narendra Modi was been shining a light on indigenous technology created by brilliant minds in India to provide everyday solutions without having to rely on foreign manufacturers.

Pravaig Dynamics has unveiled its first electronic vehicle that promises a range of up to 500 kilometres. The Tesla Model S promises a range of 402 miles per full charge which is 646 kilometres. The Indian EV, named Pravaig Extinction MK I, has an ironical name, takes a dig at the extinction of non-renewable fuel-powered cars that use petrol or diesel. Design-wise, it looks like a mixture of a sensible sedan in the front while the back looks like a beefy SUV with flared out bumpers.

The completely indigenously built in India electric vehicle is sure to step up the EV game in India and set up a market in the home country. The electric car is expected to be available for purchase in 2021. The range is one of the most astonishing features for the car yet. A 500-kilometres range is no joke for an EV with the Volkswagen ID.3 managing to scrape around 500 km range if you drive very carefully. Tesla’s Model S is the only big-name to have cracked the 500+ km range on a single full charge of the battery.

Of the current cars available in India, the Hyundai Kona comes with a factory promise of 452 kilometres range on a single charge. The MG ZS can go as much as 340 kilometres on a single charge with work ongoing to upgrade the batteries to reach the coveted 500-kilometre range. It seems like the Pravaig Extinction Mk I could be India's best hope of taking on the Tesla range of EVs.
