20+ hours no batti ?
Is this level of load-shedding normal for there or is this post the recent political changes ?
Used to be a huge thing in India/(at least in Delhi) some 15-20 odd years ago but the the Govt privatized the electricity boards, got taken over by Reliance/Tata groups etc and things improved massively at only a nominal cost increase to the average end user. These days, unless it is some scheduled maintenance or some such, for which they give advance notice to the areas which will be effected, there are never any 'power cuts/batti gai' .. very very rare, even in summers when every household and workspace is running a bunch of ACs to stay cool.
Also, not sure.. are the Pak electricity generators (LESCO, FESCO, GEPCO et al) still all state owned/run ?
If so, divest NOW and hand them over to competent private corporations..
our resident, but sadly temp banned commie
@jamahir would hate this but the capitalist way is the only way, energy, airlines, defence.. you name it.. private bando ko pakda do for some good monies, do not over-regulate them (barring defence maybe), but let them profit in a fair way.. the country prospers, workers in those companies do well for themselves, and most importantly, the end consumer is happy. : )
