I believe, the potters (kumars) did it without knowing they were putting fertilizers at the mango tree roots. It became a bonanza. The variety changed and the taste turned better. Is a strange but unbelievably tasty variety. Named after the fact when local potters (Kumars) deposited the rejected earthen pots (powder form) in the roots of these trees (Carbon and calcium as fertilizer).
I have reason to believe they threw also ashes to the tree roots from the stoves (চুলা) that burn woods for fuel. Wood ash is a good source potassium (K) ~5%, calcium (Ca) ~25%, phosphorous (P) ~2%, and magnesium (Mg) ~1% which are essential plant nutrients.
