Religion is a tool for them. Use it for politics or war or own gains. Again, the public is being used in the name of religion.
So whether the religious followers are in millions or billions, does that matter? A smaller number of educated followers who belong to lower and middle classes have more impact than all other supporters.

Imran Khan's current support is comprised of:

  • Majority of the country's intelligentsia
  • Hardworking lower middle and poor classes
  • People belonging to art and culture (writers, actors, poets etc)
  • Religious people (from all sects, including Barelvi (forgot that name of <First Name> <Raza>, Deobandi (Maulana Tariq Jameel), Shia (Ittehad e Bain ul Muslimeen walay) and Ahle Hadith (Ibtesaam Elahi Zaheer etc). I know quite a few who support Imran Khan but don't express that support in open.. Heck even Engineer Mirza is now openly challenging the current setup and its handlers)
  • Legal fraternity (last few bar elections have been won by PTI supported lawyers)
  • overseas Pakistanis

Many people tell that in Jalsa, you would see people from all walks of life.. no hullar bazi, no fight on Biryani or naan etc. People come on their own, rather than being taken in the buses hired for that purpose like other parties do.

In addition, just look at the retired officers.. from all the forces.. whether they belong to Armed Forces, Police, etc..

The dissent is not evident... which means that he is the most popular leader.. yesterday, his address was accessed by many million of people (and I have a problem with that but anyway), not just here but abroad too.

Despite all the odds, despite over 2000 workers detained, yesterday's massive show is something that everyone should ponder upon.

A few in service.. they can delay the process.. or they can eliminate Imran Khan.. but they can't change the tide of his popularity with the kind of actions (they are literally kidnapping children from homes if they aren't able to find the parents).

Any "sane" and "intelligent" person/ entity would immediately hold the elections, and let IK's popularity die its own death.. because Pakistan's economy is beyond redemption... but they want to kill it by force.. which has never worked in history.. it won't work in future as well.
