Chief Engineer of the ZDK-03 project, well known as the father of the Chinese AEW&C systems, Wang Xiaomo passed away yesterday due to illness at the age of 84.
He was also the team leader of China in the Israel-China AEW&C cooperation known as the Phalcon deal .
The Chief Engineer of KJ-2000 is his student.

Considering the size of Pakistan, saab 2000 fits the bill.
Where would u want to go with a range of 11000 ?

Aren’t they supposed to have better endurance?
Crew comfort in modern aircraft may not be compromised that much. I guess cabin can be designed and configured well.

Maximum altitude of props is lower which may reduce the detection range.

Considering Paksiatn’s size and requirement to monitor Eastern air space, props can do a good job.
PAF has done really well in this regard and has one of the largest fleet of AEW aircraft this side of the world.
