honestly new or old doesnt really matter

old is better the platform is matured and the money we save can go into outfitting the aircraft with modern sensors and weapons

Military aircraft do not fly as much as Civilian aircraft - so a 10year old is practically new for this particular role.

The UK is also buying 2nd hand civilian aircraft for its new Wedgetail AWACs aircraft !! it is not a problem!

And the Pakistan Navy bought second hand ATR. These have been converted to MPA. After conversion they are as new, am I think Pakistan Navy is pretty satisfied with these platforms.

Pakistan Navy might also I tegrate 5 out of ten with swedish sworfish Anti submarine warfare system and remain 2 or three with Leonardo ASW bringing 2 ate 72 based and 3 lineage based Leonardo system

The swordfish will suit pak navy requirements and bring a supremacy of indian P 8 to none

What new capabilities does the swordfish configuration bring that the PN MPA ATR-72s don’t? Both the swordfish configuration & PN ATR-72 Sea Eagles use the same sensors and subsystems. I don’t understand why you seem insistent on the PN acquiring the swordfish when it has nearly the same system in the ATR-72s.
