ISLAMABAD- The recent decision by the US to suspend security assistance to Pakistan had convinced many in Islamabad that China was a more genuine partner. “[The Chinese] are here to stay and help Pakistan, unlike the Americans, who cannot be trusted.

Pakistan is planning to buy Chinese military helicopters and components for surveillance drones as part of its plan to fortify its border with Afghanistan with a 2,600km-long fence.

Earlier Chinese ambassador to Islamabad said in a recent interview with the *BBC* that militants in Balochistan were no longer a threat to the economic corridor.

One provincial tribal leader said many young men had been persuaded to lay down their weapons by the promise of financial benefits. “Today, young men are not getting attracted to join the insurgents as they did some 10 years ago,” he said. “Many people see prosperity” as a result of the China-Pakistan corridor, he said.

Good move by Pak Army, time to move away from USA and their

China has made great strides in term of Transport choppers
For Improved Efficiency in what kind of danger we face we need some big boys

Z-10 in my opinion is a no brainer together with T-129 Gunship both are a must to have mix of best tech offering from Euro/Asia & Chinese tech

These should help provide support in remote areas with ample reinforcement / Troop augmentation and better over all safety

    100% Alternative to Chinook platform

China has done well to build up the local capcity quite well

    CAIG Wing Loong

This article is about the Chinese unmanned aerial vehicle. For the 1970s vintage ultralight aircraft, see Pterodactyl Ascender.
The Chengdu Pterodactyl I (Chinese: 翼龙-1[2]; pinyin: Yìlóng-1), also known as Wing Loong, is a Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group in the People's Republic of China. Intended for use as a surveillance and aerial reconnaissance platform, the Pterodactyl I is capable of being fitted with air-to-surface weapons for use in an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) role.[1]Based on official marketing material released by CADI, the Pterodactyl can carry the BA-7 air-to-ground missile, YZ-212 laser-guided bomb, YZ-102A anti-personnel bomb and 50-kilogram LS-6 miniature guided bomb.[3]

    Design and developmentEdit

Designed and developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Design Institute (CADI), a division of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC),[4][5] the Pterodactyl I bears a distinct similarity in appearance to the Predator/Reaper family of drones developed by the United States.[5][6] The drone is capable of being fitted with a variety of sensors, including a forward looking infrared turret and synthetic aperture radar.[4]In addition, the aircraft is capable of carrying weapons.[6] The Pterodactyl I's total payload capacity for sensors and weapons is 200 kilograms (440 lb).[4]

Literally copy pasted a few sentences from that report on China paying/talking to Baloch rebels. It's nothing but a generic one sentence off-topic statement from that article.

Times of Islamabad outdo themselves everytime.
