Dear Pak Brother,

Putin rightfully sees that the future economic, socio-political and perhaps geo-military growth lies in Asia and Eurasia.

But Putin and his support power structure is just one dynamic in Russia. The pro-Western elite still holds some power in the Russian power structure. So, for the time till Putinism with Putin remains in force you will see this eastward movement by the Russ.

What if the Global Empire offers Putin some accomodation? Say half of Ukarine..in exchange for dumping the partnership with China? A free trade or membership of EU?

In the current formation joint Sino-Rus block is keeping the global empire from full domination...hence the struggle to break-up or contain this quasi-alliance.

But the only challenge for the global empire is China..hence great effort is made through proxies to contain China. Just look to east of your border...suddenly, you have very beligerent local hegemon trying to openly subotage CPEC...which is part of China containment strategy of its new master.

Sino-Pak will remain the core of new power equation in central asia and ME and a bulk work to stop the expensive agenda of the hindu empire.

I am sure you can see what the hindu empire is doing in AF....it has wagged war against you for last ten years from there..and now it is starting to build up its military pressure from the easter side as well.

Sino-Pak axis stands on its own. That is the Truth. Russia will only act in its national interests. It is a nuclear super power and that is it.

Sino-Pak axis is going to come under much more heavy pressures sooner than later.

You will see the hindu empire poking its nose in SCS and suddenly it will be promoting dimmocracy and human rights in China as well just like this evil empire is feeling for your Baloch peoples.

My sense is that this modi regime has overestimated itself and the capacity of its new masters.

But time will tell how far this modi regime is willing to go against Sino-Pak interests.

All in all, your great country is the landbridge of eurasian integeration. This fact also makes you target of multidimensional attacks from the south asian hegemon and its masters.

Be strong, be wise...hopefully, your political classes are alive to the threats that your great country faces.
Great words! Yes I agree that in Russia there lies a fifth column that Putin is trying to contain. I wish him every success.

I feel there is a convergence of interests from the hegemons. Israel has her desire for hegemony and so does RSS led Bharat and they both converge upon Pakistan.

One of the most important aspects of CPEC -

"A Pak-China Science, Technology, Commerce and Logistic Park is to be established in Islamabad at a cost of 1.5 billion dollars."

"He said a campus of National University of Science and Technology (NUST) would also be established in Gilgit while uplift of Jaglot-Skardu road would also be undertaken. Later, he interacted with the youth of Karakoram International University."

If an internationally recognized university opens the door (Chinese) in Pakistan, starts offering programs related to STEM and offers scholarships to the locals + People from Turkey, Iran, Saudi, Russia, Afghanistan, CARs- This will go a LONG WAY.

2 caveats - University has to be really good/competitive & Has a strong financial backing to offer those scholarships.

Integration built on cultural exchange, education, finance, arts etc outperforms "aid" "help "brotherly/systerly" relations "higher than the mountains" etc

Why do you say that Russian psychology always makes Russians look West?
Because somebody from Moscow is 99% no differant from somebody from Warsaw, Poland, Wurtemburg, Germany, Worcester, UK or even Washington, USA. Russia is the West in all ways except for the fact that she has stayed out of the Western political structures. Therefore like Germany before Russia also will once the politics are resolved, move in and sit down with her other siblings. It is that simple.

I forecast that as China rises the West will come under more pressure and will become more conciliatory to Russia. This certainly will happen after Putin goes. Then Russia will accomodate with her civilizational group.

"The Russian president is convinced that Europe's security architecture is outdated. Medvedev had already drafted his vision of a "security area between Vancouver and Vladivostock" two years ago"

Link > http://www.spiegel.de/international...to-russia-relations-on-the-mend-a-727057.html

"Step by step, NATO began to expand its responsibilities and membership to promote democracy and stability. Gorbachev’s vision was of “a common European home,” with former rivals under the same roof. But the new European home was built without Russia, on the basis of NATO and the EU."

Yes that is why NATO is her attack dog and has supported terrorists groups in destabilizing Israel enemies like Syrian and Libya.

Russia is not just Moscow, of course she is the heart now but Russians although European have never been part of the West. Indeed the West has always tried to suppress/subvert them. It is true that at times Russia has felt a sort of "inferiority complex" especially regarding the rapid industrialization that the West experienced but Russia is not the modern West. Her religion and her cultural/spiritual set is not Western. Of course the USSR and the ideologies of it were Western but that was an attempt to destroy Russia's heart.

Read The Saker. Here is a good article @ http://thesaker.is/could-russia-still-become-an-ally-of-the-west/

have never been part of the West
They are. In civilization, culture, language, religion, ethnically. In every measure you choose to use. In fact Russians (ethnic Russians who are the dominant people of Russia) are closer to Germans, English, Swedes then to Greeks, Italians or Portugese.

They are only divided from the West by politics like Geremany also was until 1945 when she was defeated and joined the Western camp. Same will happen with Russia. The problem is Russia does not want to play second fiddle to anybody - if it agreed to accept it's place in the pecking order in Western system Moscow would be as central to West as Berlin is.

And Russia will eventually. As China rises the West will be offered to give Russia a sweat deal as prize to contain China. Can you imagine NATO troops parked on Chinese border in Russian Siberia?

Where is this? London, Berlin, Paris, Oslo, Washington, Dublin, Warsaw, Brussels, Copenhagen, Vienna?

Where is this? 20 miles from China. 20 Miles from North Korea but could be small town in Norway or Poland.

@Kaptaan very well put, my young brother.

If you dig deeper then you will see that Peter the Great tried so hard to make Russia european. St. Petersberg was designed and built by the Italians...Dutch were there for ship building and canal works just like Amsterdam.

This sense of desparate acceptance by Europe has never gone away from the deep Rus psyche. Hence, my contention that Rus will dump the East at the first call from the West. Europe has always seen the Rus as Cosack and not european...

But then it is their affair. What is relevant to Sino-Pak equation is how they work together and break through containment strategies of the opposing forces.

Example: By buying weapons from everyone..india has tried and to some degree succeeded in isolating Pak from the international market. india has been over the decades also been containing Pak economically. As you once wrote even your famous rice is sold as indian...same goes for your rivers..

By accepting ground realities and then moving from there is the best start. What we see emerging is an open cold war between China & US and the US proxies such as JP, india, EU, Australia and so on...

But throughout history no rising power has been given a free pass...and there is always rites of passage.

China has so far navigated rather skillfully.

The fundamental issue is Dollar's future and recycling of petrodollars...should they become petro-remnbi then the world changes overnight. China has already laid the groudwork for this. Oct 1st is RMBs entery into IMF SDR basket. China has already issued SDR bonds last week or so...Shanghai has opened oil futures to be traded/priced in RMB. Also for Gold and Silver. These are fundamental steps.

So, yes, we shall see enormous pressure on China and also for your great country as well.

CPEC is far more than an infrastructure.... Just like the US, China has become a two ocean power. This is path breaking fact.

You will see much more troubles in your Baloch province, in your Karachi and your Sindh. Also, tragically, more terrorism will be unleashed upon Pak peoples. But somehow, your public seems to sense this and there is emerging awareness of this.

indian modi just delivered his opening shot about SCS in Vietnaam..just as Obama delivered his on CNN. Rather chorigraphed script. But this is Grand Geopolitics opening up in Asia. All ambuguity has gone now. Which is rather good thing in the long run.

The key is to watch whether the Feds and ECB will raise interest rates or not.

My sense is that the troublemakers will try to muddy the waters in G20.

So, put it all together.

1- Russia is just using EEU, SCO as bargaining chips for its entery into the West

2- Sino-Pak equation is all on its own. Sorry to say your socalled brothers form ME are rather useless as they are beholden to the opposing forces. When they start selling their oil in RMB then your country will be their security provider with full Chinese backing.

3- Whether the economic order can peacefully shit east or whether there be troubles is not yet clear. I fear troubles sadly.

4- There will be more troubles coming Pak's way from the south asian hegemon...which essentially is an expansionist empire rooted in rSS idealogoy.

5- CPEC will be finished and Kashmir will burn and burry her youngs for some years...but it will be FREE!

6- When China has sorted out the mess in the Chinese Seas...China will librate South Tibet from indian occupation along with other occupied north eastern territories. And no, idian nuclear weapons will not intimidate China in this.

Over to you for anti-thesis, young brother!

If Russia does that, it will be living the last few years of its independence. Do you really think the "Western Elite" actually accommodating Russia? It will be another Print 100 Trillion $$$ to pump China against USSR and dump when the time comes.

This is the right time when Russia/China/Pakistan/ME/CARs/Iran etc form an economic and educational alliance to keep the "WAR Elite" at bay.

And yeah - No matter how many Crosses you wear to please your Orthodox brothers/sisters - You really don't give a flying F about Jesus. 99.99% of the things you do are against your religion anyways (Meant for the Western Elite): Killing millions of innocent people, imposing corrupt elite onto others, sodomy, corruption within etc etc

And yeah - They gonna take all their resources (Russian) and you'll be left cheering for the looks and the past.

They have done that past 600 years and the next 600 years won't be any different.

The Saker is good analyst without doubt but he always oversells Rus as civilisation and Orthodox church as moral savior of the west.

I do like/read his analysis. But he projects too much of his deep wishes into the Rus policies and capabilities though.

But then you must always form your own opinions, my young brother!

Great counter points...solid and constructive...

Question: Why has it taken 600 years for Rus to learn this lesson? What makes it different this time?
Between Paris and Shanghai where do you think that Rus rich will go?

Appearances are deceptive. Russian are racially and linguistically very similar to North West Europeans but they are not and have never been part of the Modern West. Russia will fight to the utter death before she gives up her independence. And she has nukes, something which NS Germany did not have. Her Orthodox roots have taken her to a different place to the Modern West. She does not accept homosexual marriage or homosexual propaganda. This is one big difference between the Modern West. Russia is going back to her traditional cultures and religions.

That photo of the soldier marrying the beautiful Russian bride is tradition for them. In the West one would see

being promoted. Not so in Russia.

There are other differences.

I believe in a very strong and proactive UN (Could take a different shape). I don't believe in a global hegemonic power - Be it any country.

This is what I want: Russia, China, CARs, ME, Iran, Pakistan etc extensively collaborate and FORCE the WEST to come to the table - Engineer long-lasting peace treaties, cooperation between various civilizations and respect where differences show up.

For that to happen, Russia needs to think bigger than Orthodoxy, its history, global power architect and so should every other country.

Our azz fucks - Who gets to rule the world BS - Stops and discourages innovation/inventions.

Don't you think: If the US did not go to Iraq and if some Iraqis were not stupid - They would have a vibrant society with numerous inventions to their name?

And that is precisely what I want to see.

And that Petro $$ or Yuan - This is all fake and utter nonsense. We are stabbing ourselves slowly.

We need to think big. More than what my shadow encompasses.

But Peter was never a very religious man. He did not like the Orthodox Church's role in the State. And being European is different to Western. Russia holds closer to European traditions than many Western European countries nowadays.

100% true. In fact St. Petersburg (window to the West) rivals as the city with the greatest Western modern Renaissance architecture in the world - possibly ahead of the pseudo Rome - Washington DC.

The Russians are closely related to Nordic peoples (many have Viking blood) and have always lived with the problem that they occupied European fringe - or the wild frontiers and were looked down. As you state St.Petersburg was built to celebrate that Russia was great power and Western. The architecture was appropriately designed to show their yearning.

And as you state in time when time is right they will join the West.
