Israeli battles of 1956 were not classical armored battles in the sense that they did not fight major armor battles against Arab armor......Case of Israel...once you have guaranteed supply lines (air and land) along with continuous flow of dollars from the US (superpower at that time) then anyone can beat multiple countries.....read Operation Nickel Grass.....Again, F-86 sabre became operational in 1949....16 years back....starfighter, hardly a dozen, were anyways too few to make an impact.</blockquote>
