10ᵗʰ Infantry Division - the Tenacious Ten.
A Second World War veteran, the formation has been based out of Lahore since our country's establishment.
In September 1965, the Division had to contend with a frontage of roughly 60,000 yards; from the Ravi Syphon till Bedian.
Pitted against it were the adversary's 15ᵗʰ and 7ᵗʰ Infantry Division, along with the elite Indian 50ᵗʰ Parachute Brigade.
The Tenacious Ten would take 416 fatal casualties during the war and in clashes post-ceasefire.

Whenever called upon, the 10 Division has been helping the government of Pakistan for the best interest of the nation. The menace of global terrorism has added yet another dimension to the duties of the division. The division is always ready to face this challenge as well.
"The Tenacious Ten" is fully trained in all areas of warfare and every soldier and will not resist in offering any sacrifice for the defense of the homeland.

The formation sign, red over blue with black shield, was adopted in 1941 denoting river crossing at night with blood spilling. In 1956, the round shield was adopted and it says to all, "Prospered in peace. We are there, on the walls, guarding."

A platoon commander in the 3ʳᵈ Punjab - killed in action while taking out a MG bunker with a grenade, despite being wounded by artillery shelling, on the night of 3/4ᵗʰ December 1971, during the Battle of Hussainiwala.
Awarded the Sitara-e-Jurat.
