I’m wondering why did Qing (who had the largest navy in the world) reduced it to nothingWe will make opium seller pay for it in future.
All british subject shall be ashamed of this piece of history.
Btw, I don't think it's the gun and cannon that help british win the war. On sea, maybe. But on land. It's the incompetent of the Qing dynasty army that doom China.
The stupid Qing army choose open field for major battle against british which is is idiotic.
They were logistically ahead of everyone. It was like bringing a knife to a gun fight. They enjoyed a huge cap in that department which is the cause of their wins not only in China but everywhere and other then that they won't have been able to conquer china like the Mongols did that was a solid conquering with swords, sweat and blood. The playing field was levelI still don't understand how a small group of a few thousand men managed to force the Qing dynasty into making concessions. Those British troops must've been the cream of the crop for it's time. I also read that British rifles were accurate to much larger ranges.
Does it change the fact, British use military to force open Chinese port for opium import into China? Or you want to claim what British did in 1842 was correct? You have posted a movie.
Movies aren't historically accurate. They are just meant for entertainment.
I can post many movies that pertain to my views on history.
