I don't know the contents with regards to India's meeting but the fact that those countries saw India as a more reliable partner to secure their interests rather than Pakistan should really be shocking. All this Gwadar, TAPI and central Asia connectivity but at the end of the day they look to India for help. Even Saudi Arabia only promised to give Aid in the form of consumables and other supplies not hard cash and like i said before declined Pakistan's offer to meet the Taliban delegation face to face, same with several other nations. The trust fund is also going to be at the behest of the US, whether they see it in their interests to release funds or not will be the deciding factor. None of these are 'major' nor are these in Pakistan's hands considering the current situation for Pakistan.
Those 3 neighbors also participated in the OIC, unlike Pakistan and China which have completely boycotted the Indian meetings. Its 55 nations vs a meeting of 5. Grow up and come up with mature arguments.

Bro, agendas in these meetings are not spontaneous. Before the meeting, the diplomats of the reletad countries hold meetings between the delegations and the agenda of the summit is written by these delegations. Did Pakistan have such a request for this summit and was it rejected?

It's been Pakistan's policy and has been spoken about numerous times by IK, other ministers post abrogation of article 370 ....to raise Kashmir issue in all major international platforms.....Even now, you must have heard IK raising Kashmir issue (as a nuclear flash-point) on sidelines on this meeting in an interview with with Al-Jazeera...then what stopped them from raising it here?.....It was Saudis who made it loud and clear before the meeting...that "No Kashmir"...if you do, we walk away....plus be ready to pay back those $ 3 Billion within 72 hours per condition...
For Turkey...Erdogan is in dire need of Forex...(you must be aware of the state of Turkish economy and steep slide of Lira)...India bought Turkey by showing potential interests in 100 plus Drones, just before this meeting.....

To you point on meeting's agenda...even Palestine was not the subject.....

I can't talk about Saudi Arabia, I don't dont have enough awareness about what you said, but I can respond to your statement about our side.

Do you know which type of UAV India want? Do you know what the total cost of this is? You are Pakistani, and I would have expected a higher awareness of these PSYOPs based in India. And...the devaluation in Turkey has nothing to do with the lack of dollars in the market. If we can find the opportunity to discuss on a suitable topic, I can tell you the real face of the business with numbers. I can give you any technical data and official figures that you can think of. It is really sad to hear your false claims that Turkey is begging for dollars from India and leaving Pakistan alone in the Kashmir issue.

TRT is one of the main media outlet that maintains the global awareness of the Jammu-Kashmir issue even now. At the presidential level, apart from Pakistan, the only country that were raise this issue at the UN meetings is Turkey. What exactly do you expect from Turkey, and what demand has Turkey left unanswered?

I agree with your views on OIC anyway. A completely useless organization.

This happened before....

Here, the sudden change of decision of Mr Imran Khan created a cold shower effect on the Turkish public. If we were achieve the triple summit, we could create a much more effective mechanism instead of messing around with the OIC. I hope it doesn't happen again.

OK we have done enuf to handle the Afghan issue over the last 3 decades. Put aside the policies and the way to handle the issue, whether wrong or right is a long debate. The corrupt politicians and clueless/ spineless Generals contributions ..... well let us leave that one also for now also.
The borders are cleared up from Super Powers presence and pressure and that is what counts for now.
For now show me any example on any forums/news or otherwise where those Namak Haram Afghans hold any well being for Pakistan. Even your pet Talibs will want to bugger your bungholes at the first chance.
WHY WHY WHY the incompetent policy makers in Pak want to stick their head in the uncontrolled affairs reigning in Afghanistan and burn Pakistan again when they have no clue ?
I say let Afghanistan alone now. Let them fix their own mess or fight as many civil wars as they want.
Man the border and annihilate anyone approaching it and trying to take down the fences or farting obscenities about Pakistan and not accepting Durand line or IB . What is this bloated army for ?
You are never going to be able to use those Talibs against India. LoL @ the outdated thinking. Face the realities.. They will stab you first.
Round up all Afghans in Pakistan and send them back across the border. They sit in Pakistan and chant anti Pakistan slogans !
Let the next adventurer invade that illiterate, degenerate nation. Just make strong policies how to handle that failed nation and look after your own interest.
Pakistan did not handle properly the mess in Afghanistan since the beginning of Russian invasion there and now the internal situation in Pakistan is so bad that the local currency is ready to go defunct and the Politicians/ army will be forced to claim bankruptcy for the nation or to start leasing / selling assets and/ or land to stay afloat and go about their personal interests and let the local populace rot.
People post garbage regarding Pakistan achievements on International forums. You got NOTHING and no one pays any attention to you.
You DO NOT need anyone. Fix your affairs internally, fix the judiciary and hang all the current politicians ( PTI included ). Move forward honestly, simple and slow and the world is your playground !

Stop the India-Pakistan childish feuding. OIC could have done so much and has ended up delivering little to nothing.
They could have setup a fund of $7 billion that can be released immediately in lieu of the funds held back by the West.
When the West releases the $7 billion EVENTUALLY , the money could be returned to the OIC states.
These are MEGA MEGA rich countries with vast $ reserves sitting in western banks doing little.
You notice not one country of the OIC suggested this simple step to take the immediate pressure of Afghanistan.
Starting a fund with NO COUNTRY COMMITING A NAMED AMOUNT is just another excuse to do little or nothing.
This is Public Relations and hand wringing . Sympathy and tea nothing more.
Millions are going to starve and are starving. They are dying daily, Mothers are selling their babies for pocket change on the streets of Kabul.
10 Year old girls are being married of to 70 year old men. Other girls are being married of to Taliban fighters.
You all should be raging against such a pitiful conference. You should be demanding REAL help from the OIC.
Instead while the Afghans die you pat your backs with victory in some arcane India-Pakistan one-upmanship.

LOL OIC countries has been helping Taliban as we speak, including Indonesia, but we dont send money to Taliban but to Afghan directly from several of our channel in Afghanistan, so far it is still in the form of food.

This OIC pledge is somewhat something different. This will be some big fund to Afghanistan that is not just to feed the people, but to support their economy

This is why Taliban needs to take action because this pledge will ultimately show that OIC will recognize Taliban soon and assisting and supporting their economy for long term.

IMAFT should be mandated to help the new Afghanistan government. Economic incentives should be given such as preferential trade agreements and joint ventures with the Afghan government.

A good foundation could be set by this session.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Sunday said the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers had agreed to establish a humanitarian trust fund to help Afghanistan people, facing a dire situation, ARY News reported.

Addressing a joint press conference along with Secretary-General OIC Hissein Brahim Taha here at the conclusion of the 17th extraordinary session of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Qureshi also announced that the forum had also decided to launch a food security programme for the people of Afghanistan.

“Helping people of Afghanistan is a shared responsibility and despite the desire, Pakistan alone cannot meet their humanitarian needs,” Qureshi said and reiterated that a humanitarian crisis was looming in Afghanistan.

“We can have a difference of opinion with the Afghan authorities but our focus should be on 38 million people of Afghanistan,” said Qureshi, adding that neighbouring countries would also be adversely impacted if countries did not come forward to help Afghan people.

The foreign minister went on to say that there will be further follow-up meetings to alleviate the suffering of the Afghan people. He further said the Afghan delegation apprised the OIC meeting about the situation in Afghanistan.

OIC foreign ministers expressed unity and support for the people of Afghanistan in the meeting, he said.

imran khan address oic cfm afghanistan

Qureshi informed that the conference delegates agreed to appoint a special envoy of OIC for Afghanistan to engage with stakeholders.

The minister told that two documents had been unanimously adopted at the conference including a joint resolution on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and Islamabad declaration on the Palestinian situation.

Earlier today, addressing the session, PM Imran Khan warned that chaos in Afghanistan could cause the rise in terrorism. He reiterated that Pakistan is the most affected country due to the war in Afghanistan. He added that instability in Afghanistan will not only affect Pakistan but the whole world.

It is pertinent to mention here that the meeting of the 17th Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, held on the initiative of Saudi Arabia and hosted by Pakistan was attended by around 70 delegates from the member states, international aid agencies and special representatives.

I count 57 flags above! 57 OIC member countries visit Pakistan in 1 day! And Pakistan hosts them. Pakistan takes initiative on Afghanistan matter. There was once a country who talked about isolating Pakistan in the world! India who was keen to jump in for photo ops in Afghanistan, is now missing from the scene when there is no personal gain left to be made. Lets be clear on that, India was in Afghanistan as a spoiler. To gain strategic advantage against Pakistan, to sandwich Pakistan from its 2nd largest bordering country. They were in there showing how much of a "good boy" there were to America. They were not there for the people. Afghanis should be able to see the difference between foes and friends. There is a particular section of Afghan elites who form opinions based off twitter. Ground realities are different.

Don't give funds to taliban. They are not trust worthy. They will use aid for weapons and jihad instead of poor children & education. World should place sanctions on afganistan for extremism, & serious violation of human rights.

Buddy how about using ur eyes and brains. It is for humanitarian purposes. Not money is being given. Only aid, things like food, clothes and medicine.

This is a good step, But as usual, I anticipate that Afghanis won’t appreciate what we have done for them, Even IEA. I wish I am wrong.

What got into you Dear Gangu ?

Why not focus on “Every 3 minutes, a woman is raped in India” instead of poking nose on others ?

57 countries. Countries with worlds largest unearned wealth that just comes out of the earth. These countries setup a "humanitarian aid" of unknown quantity with unknown contributors.
With the exception of Pakistan and Iran none of these rich countries offer humanitarian asylum . Europe and US takes millions of Afghans but not the Gulf which can afford it.
They do not offer to move any who need urgent medical treatment to their very very expensive and fancy hospitals in the Gulf.
They could, being oil and gas producers offer subsidised or free energy as MILLIONS are freezing in this winter.
What kind of Islamic solidarity is this except a desire to show that OIC exists and is "relevant" for the world press.
The only real desire for humanitarian aid comes from the West in the midst of their own economic crisis.
Taliban have to do what they signed up to at Doha for the release of their foreign exchange holdings. Foreign exchange by the way that still came from the US taxpayer.

It is better in forms like food rather than cold hard cash. So that it can address problems like starvation...money is easier to be misused.
