When US President Barack Obama speaks, it’s hard not to pay attention. Before his departure from the country after his three-day visit, Obama addressed over 2,000 people at Siri Fort. Amid thunderous applause, Obama thanked people for the ‘hospitality’ and even went on to quote SRK from Dilwale Dulhani le Jayenge.

Here are some of his best quotes from the speech :

    1) Thank you for having us in India for a second time. Bahut, dhanyavaad

    2) Relationship between US-India can be one of the defining partnerships of the century

    3) Last time we celebrated festival of lights in Mumbai, danced with some children, unfortunately we couldn’t arrange dancing this time.

    4) India represents an intersection of two people who inspire me -- Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi

    5) Many years ago, Swami Vivekananda brought yoga to America

    6) We are one of the few nations who have gone both to the moon and Mars

    7) US has the largest Indian diaspora in the world, they tie us together

    8) The world would be a lot safer when our 2 democracies stand together

    9) On the nuclear deal, we want to give you carbon free energy that will help combat climate change

    10) We can finally move towards implementing the civilian nuclear deal which will give Indians much needed electricity

    11) America wants to be a partner to India in farming, boosting incomes, civil nuclear agreements

    12) We want to be your partner as you help improve the health of people from backwaters of Kerala to banks of Ganga

    13) A world without nuclear weapons -- that should be the goal for us.

    14) Both nations have felt the brunt of terrorism. We can unite to defend ourselves

    15) We would want a United Nation Security Council that includes India as a permanent member

    16) India and US can work on vaccines to ensure no child dies of preventable disease

    17) We appreciate India’s effort for generating more clean energy

    18) When Michelle and I were born, people who looked like us couldn't vote in some parts of the US. Faced differentiation many-a-times due to the colour of my skin

    19) The dreams of those who do menial jobs are just as worthy as ours. Luckily, we live in countries where they can dream

    20) Heartening to see that in countries like ours, even a tea-seller can become the prime minister

    21) Nations are more successful when women are successful

    22) Michelle is not afraid to speak her mind and tell me when I'm wrong, which happens often

    23) The girl who commanded the Guard of Honour, it’s a sign of great pride and strength

    24) Our nations are strongest when we see we are all god’s children, all equal in his eyes

    25) No society is immune from the darkest impulses of men and too often religion has been used to tap into those instead of light of God

    26) The peace we seek in the world exists in the human heart

    27) India will succeed so long as it is not splintered on religious lines

    28) Our diversity is our strength, we have to guard against the lines trying to divide us, sectarian or any other lines

    29) India takes pride in people like Milkha Singh, Mary Kom, Kailash Satyarthi, no dearth of talent in India

    30) We are not perfect countries, have known tragedies and triumphs. We have lot of challenges, but our 2 nation posses the key to progress and we strive to move towards a better tomorrow

I think you skipped that part on purpose which referred to something like, India cannot be great power unless it controls the religious extremism and watches out for rights of minorities???? Just asking may be I am wrong.

Saudi is an US ally for decades. Unfortunately, there are issues bigger than human rights. Sad to hear but it is the state of the world we live in.
