Bangladesh has one extensive mountainous and hilly region in the south east. In Chattogram hill tract(CHT) as well as in Chattogram and Cox's Bazar district. But many people are not aware that northern and north-eastern part of Bangladesh also contain many picturesque hilly regions. This hilly regions are in Sylhet and Mymensingh division. These hills can be found in Jamalpur, Sherpur, Netrokona, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Moulovi Bazar and Habiganj district. Many of these hilly regions have been converted into tea garden, Eco park, natural reserves, animal sanctuary, tourist spots etc. These hilly regions are the continuation of Garo hills, Khasi and Jaintia hills of Indian state of Meghalaya as well as Tripura hill range.

    Garo hills in Sherpur district.

    Madhutila eco park, Sherpur district

Lauchapra garo hills, Bakshiganj, Jamalpur district.
